    I'm not sure about others, but I tend to go for 10 day durations when I'm selling, as it gives you the best chance of having lots of people viewing your items.

    That said, it might put off people who want an item quickly. What do the rest of you opt for? :)

    7 days. Too complicated to decide if 10 is better :o.

    I also tend to opt for 7 days. I find they seem to do better when starting/finishing on a weekend as well

    Yep. 7/5 days, i know as a buyer i often want the item quick so a 10 day wait plus delivery time put it at 2 weeks to actually get the item.

    Weekend listing / ending definitely suits me as it means I will have time to wrap and address (assuming sales that is!) to take to PO the next day.

    I have just read cotsworldaccountants (sp?) diary and am absolutely <insert open-mouthed-in-awe smilie> at the mahoosive o/p's she is making. Now, if only I could manage on that scale.....

    I am thinking that perhaps HBs or £land might be the best places to buy brown paper, so am away to pop down there and try my hardest not to return with any * irresistible* bargains.

    I have re-listed 3 items of eb*y and still awaiting payment from one, otherwise I am a happy-natty:D

    Today's List;
    Plant garlic
    Check veg-patch veg
    Hoover
    Menu plan and buy appropriate groceries
    Make a decision on buying tumble-drier
    Visit friend for coffee
    Iron
    Clear utility room

    You need to start saving sturdy paper and plastic carrier bags, plus all strong plastic envelopes and jiffy bags you get in the post. Plus any gifts etc that come in boxes less than 2.5cm tall :D.

    Step AWAY from the bargains ;).

    Thank you for all the :money: packaging tips. You'll be pleased to know that I have assigned a large box as my 'e-b*y parcel stuff box' .

    So far it has;
    sellotape
    scissors
    1 X strong plastic (unbranded) bag
    bubble wrap
    2 and 1/2 rolls of brown wrapping paper (bought from Morris*ns reduced to 50p per roll
    Polystyrene quaver-look-a-likees

    From now on in I will keep every jiffy-bag, envelope, small box and sturdy envelope that comes my way (or I manage to 'libertate' from work;))

    All 3 items were posted today, although I did fubar-up by guestimating incorrectly on one item, and paid £1 extra postage than I charged, and I sold the item or £1........St*rb*cks I ain't:o

    Away to read some more diaries - I really could do with a holiday in bed, just so I could read everyone's diaries all day long.

    Mortgage-free Glee!
    I have a large packing box too, it's next to my items to sell box! If I do have to buy envelopes I find the best value are the ebay sellers. I sell a lot of DVDs/Games and the A5 envelopes I buy work out at only 13p each which I allow for in my p&p costs. For all the clothes I sell I use carrier bags and then Next or similar delivery bags turned inside out (luckily my sister gets loads so always a good supply :) ) Better go update my diary ;)
