  • They're great for when the boys decide to be noisy slamming the doors. Quite funny watching them trying as hard as they can to slam but can't!!!

Wow, my 'thanked' count has gone through the roof recently. A couple of weeks ago, I was in the 400's.

I'm really thankful for all the thanks, so thanks!!!

Hi Matt, I'll happily take some credit for that :p I've seen you posing on Tilly's thread so I had a mooch over and read all your diary and duly thanked each post :D

Keep up the good work, I thoroughly enjoyed your thread and can see how you've really embraced this challenge. Go Matt, go Matt :rotfl:

  • Wow, thanks ATT!

Very kind of you to spend the time needed to wade through my thread. You're right about my embracing the challenge. My partner calls it 'obssessing'! I think she's starting to get bored of me talking about it, I do get a bit excited I must admit! I told her that if I pushed myself enough, I'm sure I could get the offset account to balance the outstanding balance in 4 to 4 1/2 years! What a dream target that would be!

Had another ebay lot sell today (£7.50), so will post both off tomorrow.

  • Had a couple more ebay sales, now on £51.50 :j

I spoke to the nice lady at Santander mortgage phone department today and found out about being able to setup an easy payment facility from my accounts to the Offset account :T.

This means I can start to do all the little Tilly Tidies now!!!! :rotfl:. I've never been all that interested in spending time to sort out the small amounts but I'll see how it goes to improve the savings.

  • Woo Hoo!!!

Just saved £76 on the insurance renewel of my T5 van. Spent about 20 mins getting a quote from a rival company that mine said it would match them. No hassles with changing company now as well.

  • Thanks both!

Well what a crazy day I've had today!

I've been waiting for some car switches to arrive that I've advertised on the car forum I use. Yesterday they came, so this morning I asked everyone that wanted one for payment. About a third of the people paid today (with one person wanting 13 of them!).

I listed them on ebay and 2 sold already today!!!

Basically my Paypal increased by £529.50 today!!!:j

I guess I best do an OP now!
