    Hello Pippi!

Glad you managed the journey and settled DS in OK and have (just about) recovered! Sounds like the planning is well underway now.

Garlic should keep quite a long time anyway if it's dry and cool. Otherwise chop up and freeze, or pickled garlic is nice.

Have spent the afternoon here scanning old family photos. I was given a very nice scanner on Freegle as the printer part doesn't work, but perfect for what I want - and I've fund it is one of the few things I can do with just one hand!

hi Pippi, sounds like you've been upto your usual mile long lists and running around like a blue ... fly! don't know how you don't collapse in a heap all the time. Hope you get things sorted where you were without service for all that time.
  • <Rushes in> Ay up Pippi! I'm so far behind, that I'm not even going to attempt to try to cover all I've 'missed' - (coz I've kept an eye on progress) - just not had chance to comment!

However, spotted this over on OS, thought you might be interested. Um, conversation is interesting....lively... etc etc <Rushes out>

Oh thank you so much! I'll file that in my noggin. We've 18 months (in theory) left here so I do need to get a wriggle on and LIVE it to the full here rather than wish it away! Good luck with the one handed scanning. The walnut is respendent in full autumn colour in a polytunel - I've now brought it home :) I have a picture to post to show you :A

I generally collapse in a heap regularly :) lists make me happy - hope you're well? How's it being back at work? I'm fed up calling BT - so now I'm wording a very strong email and letter and doing that route - I'm not wasting any more money calling them to wait for 10 minutes to talk to someone and then keep getting cut off.

    **waves at Pippi**

I had to pop in and see how you were doing :) glad you're good :) And loving what you wrote about living to the full, because you're in that house for 18 months - not wishing your life away, good for you - I have a tendency to do that, so I keep reminding myself to live in the present. Always good to see reminders in what other people write tho.

Trog - ouch to being one handed, but yes, scanning photos is a great help. Hope you're on the mend.

    Have a good one, Pippi.

Hey up KC - how very true and lovely to see you too!

I think Trog's one handed-ness is due to the addition to the family rather than being hurt - but I'll read back and check! :A

As for me this morning - hurrah I've unpacked one bag in the kitchen and whilst that doesn't sound epic - its a start all the machines are now in their official 'kitchen gadget' cupboard. :T

Mushrooms on toast for brekkie (29p) by only buying the three that I'll eat rather than a whole packet :A

Next - kitchen floor to sweep and mop and then find the hammer to get some of those photos up.

Must remember not to hit my thumb!

Banks really do need checking too must do that whilst I'm having a wee cuppa

Blog done again - hurrah - back into the swing of it - and its Trog's gorgeous Walnut tree today - thanks lovely girl.:A

  • Morning!

Ooh thanks for the pic, Juglans looks great! :j

And yes you are right, one-handed state due to holding 'Little Sweetpea' in the other. Yesterday was tying up raspberry canes with her in the front carrier - not easy to do while trying to avoid shoving her little face into the prickly stems!

Today trying to 'coppice' hazels in the hedge - even more difficult. Also sorting out fabric bits for a project - I want to make a sort of 'car tidy' for 'Big Sweetpea' to hang on the back of the front seat so she can have her noteook, pens, books, snack etc within reach on car journeys. If it goes well I might even consider making others as gifts.

Also sorting out another batch of my Mum's clothes. Even after sending a lot to charity shops I will never need to buy any clothes ever again!

Well, back to the cold coffee. Hope things go well today Pippi - and remember to look at the nail not the hammer... :)
  • Eeek to babies in raspberries and coppicing hazel. Be interested to see your car carrier :-)

Today's been all at home, what have I done.....

    Hm meals
    Walked el muttos
    Put up several pictures
Created far more clutter than we started with
    Hoovered
Made up the down stairs bathroom
Finally unpacked the kitchen and put more shelves in
And, created far more clutter than I started with
Got the fangled wood choppy machine out of the garage and will chop more lots in a bit

Not much in some ways but a real start.

Must crack on and do more :-)

    Nsd so far, so good.
    Right time to crack on.........

:-) glad you liked the golden walnut trog :)
