It works on most males I think :) or females :) holding up inappropriate undergarments tends to focus their minds :T

Hey there came home with a stinky cold so I'm a bit whabbit - took it easy yesterday - work, gardening in my little build up patch and then sleep.

    Hope you're good today!

The stinky cold came home from the son so he's currently in my 'not best pleased' books!

  • Helllllllllllllllllo world!

Well today - time to focus on the money as we've shed the boy child to university we need a rethink of how we're normally running.

    Check banks
Council tax bill to chase up - higher than expected - its never lower is it??
Phone folk to tackle for the charges for the 15 days we had NO service
Paperwork to do for work - the joys of self employment means a wee catch up
Paperwork to do for home, work and self employment - need to write up some invoices
Need to fill in a form for new relief job
Food audit or forage needed at home - I'm pretty sure we don't need to buy anything except stuff for packed lunches and milk. But must check
Meal plan might help that - how I loathe meal planning (although I know it works)
Rearrange a bit of the house - I don't want to buy new stuff (like coat hooks/etc) so I need to see what we can 'make do' with
Chilli's to chop up and store in vinegar for later in the year
Veggies to pick at the work polytunnel
    Daffodils (free) to plant
Veggies given (free) from chum south (runner beans, apples, tatties and garlic) to sort and store/freeze/cook to not waste.
    Doggies to walk again later
Might text a chum and see about meeting later in the week
    Cleaning to do
Hokey cokey to hang up indoors somewhere!

Well so far that's me I think - but I'm sure I'll think of something else

Washing machine on and whirring, radio on - all good!

    Have a good un

Off to the banks and away!

  • Expenses are in thankfully (>200 quid) and thats going to help to pay the phone bill (£255 - of which 205 was deducted from my rent for the line being put in)

Rent's paid (£275 (£480 minus the phone installation) so just need move the expenses to the bills account.

Am VERY short this month as DS set up a dd for insurance (good price etc) then of course they decided to take the whole lot at once the day we left - so I had to transfer that for him) - hey ho - at least he's learning banks don't always tell you all the facts.

Need to do invoices for later on and get them emailed to the board plus other work expenses.

Why is it always such a juggle.

Put the bread in the fridge - as the bread monster (DS) is now away from home - the last loaf went mouldy as its quite a warm house (heating still off) so I think maybe the bread needs kept in the fridge or we only take out half a loaf to save food waste (and money).

Fridge forage I'm ashamed to say netted half a packet of pastrami which had gone off and half a tub of value (or everyday) smoked salmon bits from OH's lunches. At least the worms at work will get some grub and the rest I'll feed to the birds I guess. Pah - I hate food waste.

Cooked up a neep which was looking decidedly rubbery and its happy now. Well as happy as a cooked neep can be.

Chopped up all the chillis (must remember not to scratch nose again) and filled a jar with them and some sweetened vinegar for nacho's and cooking.

So much garlic lurking about must find a good way of keeping them - either in oil/frozen or ????? ideas on a post card!

Credit cards to look at next...........................
