  • Hi, not sure i really understand this whole quidco thing at all! Wondering if anyone could help?
I joined a few weeks back and i have bought a few things off ebay, not of much value at all but how do they (quidco) work out how much cash back to give you?
I thought it would be 35% as this is what it states on the site but for examle i bought a card reader for 79p and its showing up 0.20p in the amount column and 0.07 p in the tracked column, should i not have received 0.27p for this transaction?
I have a couple of other transaction on there too, with different amounts in the 2 columns.
Can someone please clarify this for me in simple!! terms? i would be really grateful as i am thinking of getting a new hdtv soon and was gonna get one off ebay and go thru quidco but not really sure now as i may get a better deal on the high street as was only thinking about ebay for the cash back.
Also if you kind ppl wouldnt mind could you pm me back as i always lose the post and get bogged down looking at other threads whilst trying to find the op!
Sorry to be a pain and thanks in advence

The way I understand it, you get 35% of the fee that eBay takes from the seller.

    Example:
    Final Bid Price = 79p
    eBay Fee = 20p
    Your cashback = 35% of 20p = 7p

    Hope this helps :)

Thanks for explaining that because i was also getting confused about this. So really quidco should clearly be stating that you only recieve 35% of there fee's and not your ebay final buying fee.

I was getting worried in regards to love film, I joined up a few weeks ago and when i checked my account it was under declined. Last week i checked again and luckily its gone through but after reading some of the coments here im really beginning to wonder whether i should stop using quidco:confused:

The only site I've had problems with is hotels.com, 2 out 3 transactions have not tracked. I have had success for one of them so far, but they will only pay 50% for any enquiries. I have to say that Quidco dealt with it pretty quickly.

Plus my £125 Barclays home insurance payment appeared in my bank account this morning :j

My Lloyds insurance transaction tracked the next day. The payment is showing as expected in May. No phone calls from Lloyds to query anything as yet.

I did Barclays home insurance. I paid £145 in december (contents only @ £12 per month) and then got £125 in feb, no probs.
I also did 2 mobiles through e2save. I got both of those no probs, even though one of them was changed to a completely offline transaction.
    I might have been lucky!

Quidco now have a new feature where some merchants are listed as SureShop Merchants - these will resolve any enquiry within 30 days.

Lloyds TSB are a SureShop Merchant so may be a new enquiry may get an answer.

I only got half my cashback from PC World. No reason, and Quidco did say that they were looking into this as it was a common occurrence with PC World.
    Gone ... or have I?
