    Stressful day!!

I drove over to tesco (about half hours drive with all the inner city traffic). Spent a good hour getting a big shop. Get to paying...DECLINED! Halifax are DOWN and helpfully their call centre 'isn't working at the moment'. I went outside to get cash out but nope...nada! So I have to empty my bag-for-life bags and leave which was humiliating!!! No one seemed to believe me!

So with only a fiver in my purse I bought a McDirty. I'm not proud of myself but on the bright side it all came to £50 and actually I didn't really want to spend so much so maybe Halifax have done me a favour.' Not that I'll ever tell them that :)

OK well I went shopping (again) & got a bunch of things that should see us through til next Friday. I also got myself a treat... a huuuuuuuge Starbucks. First one in a month! I used to topup my loyalty card £30 a month...

Anyway I spent £26.50 compared to the £50 in Tesco... :D Screw you Mr T3sco!

  • £7 spent today on a cinema. Taken 2!!! Yey!

We're going to the out of town cinema. It's £2 cheaper than the one in town & free parking :)

Taken 2 was great! Although two of the noisiest eaters in the world sat directly behind me so we moved seats. I HATE hearing people eat so much it might have developed into a full blown phobia or at least a biiiiiiig pet hate! ;)

Home now & I'm about to open a bottle of red. Yey weekend!!

Edit - Forgot to add that I made up a bottle of squash & bought popcorn from the supermarket. Cinema prices are beyond insane!!!

  • It should be a NSD today as we're just chilling out & watching films most of the day but I may summon the energy to go over & make a list of bits I have in storage & get selling.

I've renamed my diary too to something more appropriate :)

NSD done & dusted. Having some posh fish cakes & sweet potato for dinner :). Noooooow what film should we watch this evening? We've already got through Ghostbusters 1 AND 2.

Oh & MSE news, I have listed 4 DVD box sets. Hoping to get a fiver for each (6series). I bought them all for £25 so I might actually make a profit! :D Fingers crossed!!

Just under 2 weeks until payday. On the day before I'm going to transfer all available funds to my CC. I'm hoping it'll be at least £450. Then that's the last of my bonus money allocated and I'm back to a normal salary month.

    MSE chores for the week ahead;
    • Close Coop account - Haven't used the account for years. I think I have £2 sat in the account to keep it active.
    • Close Capital One & Asda credit card accounts - Just realised I didn't do it when I transferred their balances! Both are in credit by pennies so not a problem.
    • Make a list of EVERYTHING in storage & get selling on eBay!
    • Write to Safest0re & give them notice. I'll move everything out in December.
    • I'm going to write to Halifax... 2 letters. One to complain about their system error on Friday (I lost my £1 token in the trolley when I had to leave my shopping & I'm also asking for my petrol & phone call costs to be refunded) and letter 2 will be friendlier! I'm going to ask if they could reduced my apr. Going to say I need more affordable debt & I'd rather not leave them etc You don't ask, you don't get!
