Poundland + Stila is AMAZING, I got 3 powders (admittedly without a compact case but they still work the same!) for less than you'd buy a cheapy brand for! I just have to be careful not to get distracted and end up buying a carful of multipacks of lollies :o

Back from town and Poundland, no Stila to be had but I did get some drumstick lollies and conditioner. All in all, not a bad trade off.

  • Hey Mockingjay,

Just stumbled upon your diary and I've really enjoyed reading it!

You definitely seem like my kind of moneysaver.

I too am pushing to get debt free by the end of next year (which will be six months before my 30th). Definitely felt your pain when you were talking about 'car park envy' at work, but I've convinced myself that they are all up their eyeballs in debt and it's much better to be on our side of the fence.

New York is AMAZING! You should definitely set that as your target (though you should make your boyfriend pay for himself haha).

    Best of luck.

Ooh, good tip. I can't say I relish the prospect of going into Poundland though, anywhere like that scares me a bit. But as that's probably led to my debts, I need to get over myself.

I see you've found my diary... you'll notice I managed not to put, 'You remind me of me, before I went crazy'. :rotfl:I'm hoping the mood is going to be a lot lighter from here on in.

Yeah the Poundland in our town is in the dodgiest place & it's never a pleasant experience going there but if you find something amazingly cheap it makes it worth it!

And you're certainly not crazy! Life can be really rough!

Best of luck to you too! Thank you for the message. Car park envy is an ugly thing but a big thing in our company and the other day someone said to me 'you've still got that old thing!' as if I should be ashamed. I retorted that it's £230 insurance a year and skipped away :rotfl:

Right NSD tomorrow. We had a lovely lunch at Nandos so feel alright with spending the money. Pay day is Friday too - horrah! :D

Sold four DVDs on eBay = £30! I bought the entire box set for £25 so somehow I've made a profit!!! :D. This will pay for the emotional spending from Friday! :)

It's a NSD today. Boyfriend has a cold so we're going to watch 24 all day. Horrah!
