  • It's so hard to look young when you're over weight, It's so annoying. I've tried before and just looked like a porky emo, it wasn't a good look.

I have a fear of all soup. It's one of my greatest sadnesses in life. I honestly believe I'd be so much thinner if I could just swallow it like everyone else. I tried an Ainsley Harriott cup-a-soup recently, I very nearly saw it again. :(

Oh gosh that's awful! Is it the texture? If you want to try more of a stew then Waitrose do an amazing soup/stew called Moroccan Chicken. 190 calories for half a pot & it's sooooo filling.

  • Fudge I can barely eat soup too. I can stomach Heinz tomato, minestrone and one or two veg ones but only if I really really fancy them, couldn't just decide to start having soup for lunch every day <boak>

Ha, and I thought I was the only one hugandroll. :) I don't think I could even stomach the stew sadly, something about wet savoury food puts me right off. I really don't understand gravy.

  • Yes! I am so with you. I can do gravy now but only since my mid 20s.

I love soup!! I had a nice one from Eat yesterday, chicken and veg but it was mostly water really for £3.15 so didn't really fill me up.

Will have to make some myself and bring to work. But I'm not that keen on microwaving food to heat it up....I spend too much on lunch...must cut down!

I've got quite porky as well, the more obsessed I am with my weight the fatter I get, it's not fair!
  • I've been MIA for a few days but still MSEing! Work is just taking over my life at the moment, the per Xmas rush!

MSE wise I've had to call Halifax a bunch of times because I changed my DD date in September but still have had a statement, direct debit payment or interest charge but today £245 was taken in interest! Apparently it's just under 2 months worth of interest & it'll go back to normal next month. DD won't be taken either so I've transferred £300 this evening. Wish they told me this would happen sooner but at least I actually spoke to someone clued up today!

On a positive note she said 'you've made substantial payments to your balance this month.' :T

  • I'M NOT DEAD :money:

But I have been missing for a couple of months... Work took over my life over Xmas and I became quite ill. I still am but I'm nearly at the point where I'm officially being diagnosed and as soon as that happens I can finally get the drugs I need. It's been a long, scary process :( I just want to be normal again.

But this has prompted me to look after myself more. I'm using the myfitnesspal app (it's free) to keep track of my calorie intake. Basically, the lighter I am the easier on my joints life will be. I've also started going to the gym (in my office) and it's free. Horrah!

I'm OK just so stressed & I think that's making my condition worse. I need to STOP GOOGLING. No one writes about how their mild inflammation is OK, they only write how awful life is. I'm going to rectify that once I'm on the right drugs. ;)

Anyway, money money money... Over Xmas I was BAD. Terrible even. I went a bit nuts on presents and I haven't actually counted up the costs but it worked out fairly high. Oh dear. But I'm back on track.

    Recent steps I have taken;
    • Cancelled my storage facility. Moving the last of my stuff out in mid Feb. Saving £92 a month.
    • Paid off my student loan! Saving another £92 a month! Horrah!
    • Sold a few pieces of furniture on eBay from my storage facility = £100
Also, I've had to have a couple of fillings replaced but luckily I get dental insurance through work so an £500 bill should only cost me £100. :D Phew!

Now... I'll amend my sig. Onwards and upwards!
