GAP are a PITA, if you can't handle that then don't work for them, I sacked them ages ago and not lost a wink of sleep about it.

The main reason you get midnight emails? They are Australia based, check you emails before you go to work and you'll be fine.

I was asked by gap this week if I would be passing a burger joint a 2.5 hour drive from me. I pointed this out. It's true that I've done this location before but a) the fee was in the 3 figure region and b) it was summer - not sub zero with snow predicted (it's a road with snow gates!)

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone has ever had a problem with an mp3 file not importing for an RE/MF call job?
It's been 24 hours and nothing had come in yet..
It says to call a number if nothing comes in, but I assume no one will answer on the weekend right?

Firstly, I have been using Market Force (Retaileyes) and recently (dunno if its just me) but there has been a bit of a dry spell. It usually been 0 available with 2/3ish coming up and going for 5 mins. So, I found a firefox(-only) extension called Alert Box. You basically select the "0 available" text and if it changes, it will chime. You can set it to check anywhere from once a day to every second. http:// addons.mozilla .org/en-us/firefox/addon/alertbox/

So I recently signed up to GFK, GAPBUSTER, TNS and BARE.

1) I thought GFK sends you assignments by email and telephone - you cant self-assign, right?

2)TNS - I just signed up and im activated on the VAS site and they said it'll take a month until I go on Sassie aswell. Are there more jobs on Sassie because there are no jobs at all in London. Also, I am right in saying tghey only do supermarkets?

3) BARE - All these guys seem to have is car showroom jobs - is this what they usually only have?

And are there any other really good companies. I really like MF because you can choose your area and jobs you dont want (in my case no pubs and alcohol - probably why there isnt a lot of jobs right now)

Exact same problem, had a assignment last night, called the place I had it call about 26 hrs ago. To be honest, I just can't be bothered to call them and yeah they probably won't pick up. Also, it was due by noon, but that's not even 24 hrs so...

It's probably not coming through because it's the weekend. It sounds like they manually import it so I'd just wait till Monday.

It doesn't happen to be that resturant chain that famous for it's chicken does it? :D

Cool yes thanks for replying, it is the chicken place I actually did end up ringing the number and it said to call back when the office was open - so I guess that means Monday!

1. Wrong. you can self assign on their site.
2. There are more jobs on sassie and no they dont only do supermarkets but that is a major client.
3. No, they have lots of other things, but at different times, cars is a major client though

Yay, longer deadline for once...

Just wondering, which other companies are as good as MF - Which do you get the most jobs for/pay most/are least labourous?
(i've already signed up for BARE, TNS, GAP, GFK)
