you say that there is a choice- but in this era of high unemployment- and underemployment- many people do not have the choice about what job they do.
I believe that people in any job- self employed or employed by a company- should have basic rights like being paid for the work that they do, even if isn't done 100% correctly. Maybe not the full amout- but if you work on a job for an hour, you should be at least paid the minimum wage.
You are not working for a wage you are working for a fee. You enter in to a contract when you accept the job and if you abide by the conditions set out then you will receive the fee. If you deviate from it then don't expect to be paid.....very simples really.0 -

i had mine freshly made (which would have actually messed their timings had i been a shopper), carried to my table after being told to take a seat and then she came and asked if everything was ok with my meal too afterwards
We was actually really naughty once with gap burgers, my hub also works for them and he took the walk in and I took the drive throu at a same restaurant at the same time lol. While I was waiting at the drive throu window I heard him ask for a receipt inside and the staff member say WOAH surely not! he did laugh though lol0 -
Felt a bit sorry for the poor soul who had to put on the floor show for me yesterday, since it was a drive thru in an absolutely torrential, not far off freezing downpour and he got sent outside to litter pick next to my car when I pulled up. He looked like a drowned rat within seconds.0

Nor me!
What a pity that the jewellery client appears to have moved from one lame US MSC that you had to fight to be paid within several months to another pretty lame UK MSC known for finding any excuse not to pay at all. Fee is around 40% lower as well.0 -

Had a closer look, I was a bit put off by the stunted fee. They're for a specific tipple actually rather than pub, and I'm in The Smoke if that helps.0 -
