Anyone have any good ideas for how to get someone last minute to go for meals where there's a requirement for at least two people to go? I tend to book them then try to find someone as otherwise the visit is likely to have gone by the time I book the visit. But I'm stuck today with a lunch on the Southbank (London) which it looks like I'm going to have to cancel because I can't find anyone. I need a sort of last minute lunch dates website.0

I'm fuming with Gap!
I've just checked my personal emails for the first time today during my lunchbreak and have discovered that Gap sent me a query on a burger assignment at midnight last night and because I didn't respond within 12 hours the whole assignment was cancelled! I understand the 12 hour rule but surely if the query is sent in the middle of the night they should allow a bit of leeway?
I've sent them an email asking them to reinstate the assignment so I can respond to the query, do I have a chance of them doing this? The 12 hour rule has always been fine for me but if they're going to send out queries at midnight on a weeknight there's no way I can guarentee I'll be able to respond in time!0 -

To be honest do you not think this is a bit of a pullarva? Also if you then are consistently unable to find an eating partner and keep cancelling then they wont let you have the jobs. Also its unfair to those who do fit criteria who could go.Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk

Thought the exact thing last night when I received an email at 12.50am! 12 hours then takes you to lunchtime which if (like many on here) work f/t then you will struggle! and if you dont carry your completed reports with you everywhere you go... then your bugg*red
Luckily I had a bout of insomnia so responded in about 6 minutes.Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk

Well they haven't got back to me which is no surprise so it looks like it was a wasted journey not to mention my time and money doing that assignment. I had no chance of getting back to them within 12 hours. Do they not take into account the fact that we're in the UK when emailing??
Even more annoying was that the query was about something that wasn't even a question in the report - its not even like I missed something out or anything!:mad:0 -
Just logged into GR to find they have paid today :j0

RE have paid today.
GR will hit accounts on Mon/Tue next week.
Is anyone else all shopped out? Went to watch a movie today and I was the only one there. What an easy head count!
REACT are going all out and all their leftover work now seems to have an extra to the fee as they are all urgent, double figured increases on some! Also, loads of extras to the fee with GFK.0 -
Dear Charliezoo,
Thank you for your email.
Unfortunately the client only gives us a limited time to send them complete and correct reports once the assignment is completed.
Therefore we are only able to give 12 hours for any follow up on reports so that we can confirm the details and provide the client with the report on time.
Anything that goes over is not accepted.
Best regards,

I give up, I've done so many rubbish short notice jobs for them over the last 5 years and this is what I get. I'm really annoyed as the query was asking what flavour sauce I had with my meal so not even a question in the original report. I can't be arsed with them anymore.0 -

Never been asked that one before. Why on Earth would they want to know that? Very strange.

No idea, this was the query -
Were you offered any sauces? If so, what was the sauce and did you accept it?
They've just emailed to say that that if I'm not happy then they're more than happy to close my account with them.
Cheers for the last 5 years Gap.0
