I think I've just about had it with shopping this month. Everything's taken about 50% longer than normal this weekend because I couldn't find assistants who had time to actually assist. And I always hate giving seemingly bad reports to people just because the shops are understaffed and the reports are so inflexible that you can't explain the visit properly.
I ticked lots of 'No' boxes this weekend yet I wouldn't say that I met anyone who actually gave me poor service.
It's easy to given great service when shops are quiet, doing it when customers are around is an art.0 -

Well yes, I agree to an extent, but my point is that I don't believe the report format for lots of high street shops allows you to mark genuinely great service anyway. They allow you to tick lots of boxes about speed of service and whether the SA tried to sell you a warranty, then write 3 sentences at the end to summarise the whole thing. So yesterday, for example, a SA actually had his sleeve pulled at by another customer  and finally gave in to get her the product she wanted, because there was no-one else free to help.
I marked him down for it, because I had to given the report format, but I don't blame him and if I had been there as a genuine customer I would not in any way have considered him rude or unattentive to me. I mainly felt sorry for him, because there were clearly not enough staff for the customer levels and the people wanting their electronic goods RIGHT NOW were collectively awful. :rotfl:0 -

I totally agree with you but I don't believe ANY shop will have enough staff to cover the ratio of customers I have seen today. I did a spicy store today and it was mobbed to the full. Staff were everywhere and yet there still wasn't enough to approached me within 20 minutes let alone 5 but he did get me and he was blooming good! Even with a distraction of angry customers shouting at him because the tills were understaffed. Well I say understaffed, one till area and lots of customers waiting around 45 minutes! I felt so sorry for him and it was a good shop for me personally as I didn't have to wait in that area. Had the report required that area to be covered he may well have had trouble through no fault of his own but its probably WHY that area wasn't covered and they already knew this was happening. If you understand that! Lol0 -

I like Optimum Contact. Did two jobs for them on Wednesday. One had a query on Thursday which I answered and raised my invoices. Payment was in the bank for both of them on Friday0

Thanks to those that have helped cover the visits I have had recently your assistance has been valued and when more comes this way I know who to turn to should I need help in their area.
To the person, who to save further blushes shall remain unnamed, that attempted for whatever reason, (try and score points ?) and reported this to a third party, please check your facts with me directly in future before giving false information to others ,which could have been detrimental for all those involved.
Things are often more complex than you may realise.0 -
