This poster has still not originated a thread.Observe how he/she immediately feeds on another's thoughts,I am reluctant to use the term which relates to this behaviour, but if he/she posts a thread which is positive and constructive and informative ,benefits others then I will reconsider.
Defender of the weak was correct and polite but still received an abrasive response.

ther you go I started a thread just for you.
However if you think that running around moaning about a few quid here and there is the way to happiness and wealth you are very mistaken.
Why do you think so small. The question was about insurance, You often pay for whta you get so the OP's new insurance may be very inferior to his old one and for this hes got clobbered an extra £40 over and above what was expected. Wowee its going to be really worthwhile complaining isnt it. How long would you take to earn that few pounds back
Who I am is not important. What I do is.
  • Try reading the original post it was not insurance it was the fee for handling arrears of a loan. You clearly do not understand the question of how the major financial institutions make money from people without supplying any form of service to justify these fees.

As for being a parasite, I have 'parasited' just under 4 million pounds for members of the public and we are the cheapest company of our type in the UK.

Your contribution with regards to a financial debate is?

Ok theres so many of these threads moaning about a few quid here and there. Back to the original question. If people honoured their commitments it wouldnt matter what the banks charge would it. Well it might to you because you wouldnt have poor people to parasite off.
banks are businesses and as everyone else sets a fee and people either pay it or go elsewhere why shouldnt the banks. You dont have to borrow off them. There is choice. I referred to the poor there but it often is people with better incomes who default. I am told the Kensington (large adverse credit lender) has most of its customers in the very well paid IT sector.
There is a simple way of getting wealthy and it doesnt involve breaking your contract and then complaining about the odd fee.

  • This whole site is about looking after a 'few quid here and there' if you can't get your head round that then I suggest you stop posting comment to all the pathetic people trying to reclaim the unfair thousands of pounds charged for overdrafts or bounced cheques. Try reading the Unfair contract terms regulations, to gain an understanding of what you are posting about as well as OFT and FSA reports and comment on the topic

Your contribution to the financial debate appears to be limited to insulting everybody on this site who has not led a financially blameless life.

Precisely! note a few quid and usually at the expense of wasting more time than you make back. Surely people would rather learn how to be wealthy.

Why shouldnt you be charged for breach of contract? I bet you would charge if it was your money.

The unfair terms are often unfair to business and have implications in other sectors. I will laugh my socks off when people like you cause the end of free current accounts and shoot yourself and your customers in the foot. Why? because I can move to foreign free accounts but many of the people you want to rip off with your type of business cant.

Your contribution to the financial debate appears to be limited to insulting everybody on this site who has not led a financially blameless life.

I do not insult everyone who has not led a financially blameless life. Probably very few people have though sensible people learn from either theirs or other peoples mistakes. It's better to learn of someone who can do rather than someone who cant.

He obviousley hasn't heard of look after the pennies and the pounds look after themselves.

People that boast don't really have anything, they just like to think they have.

It is the people that do have money that don't boast.

Judging by your signature you havent been looking after the pennies either. what you should do is add up all the time and money you spend chasing refunds for these charges and see how much you could have earnt if you were working. If it costs you more to get it whats the point. You dont get charges if you pay on time, so they are easy enough to avoid.

I do love the terminology "unlawful chargers" No mention of the unlawful breach of contract that preceded the unlawful charge. Most of these so called unlawful charges were in the contracts you signed up for and what you dont seem to cotton on to is that you get all bitter and twisted over someone charging a few quid more than you expected when you started it in the first place. You spend all this time trying to claim it back. then think you have won a major battle when the bank pays you off. In reality the bank does this because its less trouble to pay than mess about fighting because it knows it will get you later on other fees and charges. Meanwhile you run around like scrouge with a pittance compared with what you will pay the bank over a life time
