Don't think it can be cut down as the metal 'chip' is a different design.

the actual contacts and chip are the same, you can use an adaptor to use a nano sim in any other mobile phone, the problem is that nano sims are thinner than all other sim cards, so that will be a pain shaving the back off.
also it could be a problem if you have a sim with a contact face like this, if you have one like this you can cut it down and shave it's back, but I would personally just get a new one from the network.

Can be cut to size but nano sim is 15% thinner. However cutters already planned.

I've just been on Apple US website and they're offering an iphone5 "from $199". On the UK site they're "from £529"
$199 = £123.50
£529 = $852.00
Apple must think everyone in the UK are idiots if they expect us to pay those sorts of prices.

The same as for previous iPhones, except probably £30 more for the 16GB version.

What I'm really interested in is how much the 4S is going to cost now. The prices to buy an unlocked phone have come down by £50, but I haven't seen any reduced contract deals yet. Hopefully it won't be long.

I think you also need to realise that the $199 price is in addition to the price of a contract.
They sell phone contracts in the US too...not just sim-free as in the UK.
