iPhone 5 - what are we expecting?

Morning savers!

It's the Apple event later on today and obviously everyone is expecting the iPhone 5 to be announced. I'm incredibly interested in what everyone is expecting to see. There are so many different rumours online. I'll start with what I expect to see:

- bigger screen
- different dock connector? (but there must be something to revert to the old dock connector in the box surely?)

Honestly though, I think everything is absolutely wide open until the announcement itself, Apple are very good at misleading and hiding their product secrets. What are your thoughts?

You've pretty much covered it.

They're finally admitting that a 3.5" screen doesn't cut it anymore. The PPI of the 'retina' display will drop though, but that's not surprising as they're calling everything retina now, even the iMac's 220-odd PPI is 'retina' apparently.

With the dock connector, I believe they'll be selling an adaptor rather than including one.

It's bound to have NFC, though.

I think that will be a bad move on Apple's behalf. All of those docks and accessories already out there will be useless with an iPhone 5 unless they buy an adaptor. Which is awful when you buy what will be the most expensive phone on the market and they can't give you a small adaptor for free

Ah well. We will find out later I'm sure!

I'd expect Stephen Fry to be all over twitter praising the new phone, and I'd expect Samsung to commence legal proceedings against Apple having copied their larger screen size.
Saw somewhere that Apple are using an even smaller SIM.
..........................and there is the 3D camera!

I guess they will have to do something significant as Android phones outsell Apple by 4 to 1.

Don't forget the nano SIM, which is smaller than the micro SIM currently used in the iPhone 4, which is smaller than the regular SIM used in most other phones.

Watch this video. The guy interviewed said he is getting an iphone 5 ASAP without even knowing the specs. Typical apple cult follower:rotfl:

That's what I struggle to understand , how can anyone say they are getting an iphone 5 when they know nothing about it ? wierd.

Well GSM manufactureres agreed to micro usb as a standard, seems logical apple follow suit or rip you all off for replacements LOL

He is bipolar & electrical gadgets seem to get him going in excitement, add to that tens of thousands pounds as a possability get threw at him, or even a free phone might do it for him lol

Apple's track record of previous products and the consumer's wish to remain with iOS, a very refined and mature operating system.
