  • I think it's madness that someone would prefer to buy a brand new 1.4 corsa than 5 year old BMW. 5 year BMW all the way.

A What Car? survey of thousands of cars last year found that BMW's and Land Rovers were the least reliable cars in the UK.

    Does that really matter though?

Used 330i Coupe or new 1.2 Corsa?

    You chose
  • Do you mean this one http://m.whatcar.com/car-news/what-car-reliability-survey-2012/263555 that actually does not?

Vauxhall were one place ahead of BMW midl-lower table, although with lower annual mileages.

Their criteria must also be laughable; how the hell could Volkswagen, Skoda and Audi be in vastly different parts of the table when they are the same cars with different panels & badges?

I think their criteria are more measurements of owner attributes than the actual car. Who would call the AA out to fix a roadside puncture instead of changing it themself; a smartly dressed businessman in a 5-series or a young lad in a Corsa?

Agree, on the BMW forums I go on members throw their car back at the garage for the most trivial things. The faintest squeek will put it back at the dealers.

spending BMW prices comes with an expectation of perfection but ultimately, its a driving machine the same as the rest.

Except they are not. An Audi is more likely to have more electrics to go wrong, newer editions of the engines, etc.

I'd agree with electrics issues on audi, 2010 model A5, returned once with faulty electrics, off road for a week, now got more electrical faults - dash lights flashing and remote key issues. I suspect the problem is water leaks really as every time we open the doors / boot water enters the car if raining - design issue with frameless windows! would I have another one - No but it looks nice.
