Bad mother installment number 2 of week...

Took youngest to school on Thursday, there was no one about... She said I told you there was no school today but you didnt listen... whoops.. emergency MIL drop.

Had today off as inset day that I did know about (hangs head in shame..) Let them all have a friend to sleep over so 6 kids last night, must say went well and didnt have to tell anyone off.

Money shuffle today and all transfers arranged. Managed to pay a whopping maximum OP of £1500 with extra money borrowed from savings on trying to do last big push to get under 60k but failed... However am very pleased.

Been meaning to ask HDK how are you getting on with the grocery challenge? It is my weakness.

I know what you mean about INSET days..with mine at 2 different schools I am constantly confused as to whether 1 or 2 are off..or not!!

Oooh Brizzle, grocery challenge never goes well in our house, however was just over a pound overspent this month which is an absolute amazing step forward, think it may coincide with trying to reduce alcohol but still very pleased. Also had £50 left for savings this month whereas usually a £300 ish overspend, I think its more about now over christmas ...

Eurgghhh HDK camping and flu are not a good combo:eek:
Can you perhaps reach a glamping compromise?

PS amazing £1.5K MOP:T and hope daughter's toe's feeling better....very painful even stubbing a toe, never mind breaking one!

Take care, try to get in some rest - as ever you do sooooo much X

Thanks NP. Was VERY wet and VERY cold. Now have a gazillion loads of washing to do as everything is wet and nasty. I knew it was a very bad idea, esp with forecast and boy was it a bad idea!! Toyed with B&B compromise but it went against my MFW goal.

Very pleased with my MOP, and still dragging in those extra hours although not quite as many. May have to refocus efforts on emergency fund again though.

Just ordered myself some super looking slippers on amazon with my dooyoo money. Fed up of buying cheapo ones and lasting me a month.

Is the flu easing off yet HDK?

I sometimes think I'd like to go camping (as does Mrs E), but I probably got it all out of my system when I was a scout and I can't quite see her coping without straighteners :rotfl:

Yes feeling quite a bit better, thanks Ed. Although nose still looks furry. Had a nap yesterday pm then couldn't sleep last night so get up and was in work just before 6. Left work at 3.30 as hairdresser booked, we all had a trim and my grey is now gone. Quick lidl shop and relax.

Assignment back and passed.. phew. 2 more to go.

I think MRs Ed is very wise, have a tent with electrical supply, is it glamping?

First radishes out of garden for the year...

Went shopping, went to designer outlet and treated self to new work shoes at Clarkes, bought dd's all new shoes as well but unfortunately not all bought from there as "not cool" so 4 hour shopping trip ensued. Also treated self to a lovely GAP cardigan with 40% off. Probably spent £200 ish but all girls and self happy, DH not so...
