Seem to go through manic phases at work. Am now working sunday but is a straight swap for another sunday. Does make me a nasty run though. But yes Ed, I think may briefly be crossing the line, unfortunately have no choice now and so just praying a new manager will be appointed. I believe it closes this week.

Snow bad.. bumped into kerb on way home and tyre crushed. Fortunately AA only took about 20 minutes as they put me as priority 1 (on dual carriageway which is main road to city centre, snowing heavily, had only a thin fleece, and desperate for my tea - think thats what made the difference) still took over an hour before back on road and then nearly an hour to get home so well after 9 and absolutely freezing (dithery level). Left for work at 6.15.
    So now need new tyre.
He was a very nice man (Ian)

On the plus side, whilst i was out DH found my earing back which lost 2 days ago. Always the ying to the yang....

  • Sorry to hear about your fun journey home. The snow is lovely to look at but a pain to drive in

  • My little bump was on the easiest bit of the journey though, which is frustrating. Plus was going v slow and was the slightest tap, Grrrrrr. Nearly drove on but thought just check to be on safe side. Cant image I would have got far as tyre was very noisily deflating.
Oh well, at least didnt damage anything else, AA phone man said anything more than tyre they'd charge for £108 as classed as RTC.

Glad you are OK, tyre going in this weather is no fun!

  • Well shopped so over spent on grocery and general budge but I have tried and feel that I was too ambitious . freezer was empty and kids do need shoes..

Did sew up new school trousers, saving £3 and 3 pairs of DH trousers, saving £15 (as quoted by lady in shop)
Also bought PE socks x2 children which hadnt bought but now definitely need and also DD3 tie for September as DD2 keeps losing tie and so reserve which can justify (which she will need to "buy" if loses proper)

Ad points seems a no show this week, 78 points despite at least 1 visit a day all week.

Have batch cooked extra meal for Monday and ironed school clothes. Made sarnies (x2 as long day) ready for tomoz, and froze yogurts earlier in week as had 1 day left, have been taking frozen each day and are defrosted but nicely chilled by break time so been great. May freeze all next time.

Feeling grumpy about working tomoz, no sympathy from DH, as yes, is my own doing.

On the positive, noticed pay day falls on Sunday (next week) so will get Friday. YAYYYYY

Thank goodness you're okay after your car mishap HDK:eek: (had it been me, you could have added wearing inappropriate nightwear into the mixture:o)

I have never, ever thought of freezing yogurts before...just to check, if they are frozen do they still have to be eaten by their sell-by-date?

  • Another one who didn't know yoghurts can be frozen. I often see bargainous ones but don't buy them - will have a go.

    Thanks x

No, I don't think the sell-by date matters if they're frozen, as long as you eat them on the same day you defrost them. :)
