Yes, hopefully by tomoz i will be invigorated with a can do attitude or if not, at least I can answer all my emails on my phone! (albeit under the table)
feeling positive, heard he's "quite good" and last chap of similar write up was brilliant and came away with a real mantra of "its my choice" which I still think I would have been happy to have personally paid to see (rather than paid to see)
Last quarter day was dreadful, it was a happy clappy event, arent we a fantasic place to work, yay look my areas better than yours day. The time before was an external speaker who I felt embarrassed for, it was soooo bad. Having presented at this event before, I appreciate its hard but jeez. He kept doing power silences, after break we were hoping it would pick up but no. So am, if honest ... a little nervous. Plus not allowed to not attend unless on holiday.Morgage till Nov 30 GOAL MFW Sept 2016Aug 11 - £100k Aug 2016.... It's GONE!!!!!

Sorry to hear about the toothache and hope tomorrow goes ok. If you are well dosed up on pain killers maybe you'll be semi sleeping through it.

Thanks everyone. Your all very lovely. Was up at 3.30 for more pain killers and currently alternating between brufen and paracetamol.
The speaker... well, where do i start... His company is ministry of innovation and was very excitable, with white patent shoes, pink shirts, his GF was all in red, including tights and her dress sense reminded me of Kirsty Allsopp on a bad day.
He basically spent 4 hours telling his life story, with intermittent shrieks of how we are all amazing. Half my colleagues seemed completely enthused and the rest of us, it was a case of "cant they see he's naked" in the emporors new clothes. Basically his ethos was that everyone is amazing, that we all have voices in our had, some are good and some are bad, we need to ignore the bad ones as these are the ones that lead to people killing themselves. That if we put all our negative thoughts into a sausage making machine then we will get bad sausages out.
If you did delve through, I suspect what he was saying is (Or trying), that you will never be happy with what you've got if your waiting to reach a mythical point (ie Ill be happy if I win a million pounds) and that happiness isnt an end result its within you now and you can be happy now if you want it. I have been to other events similar but far better and do agree, that you have to enjoy each day, ie if i say Ill be happy when Im MF, then in affect im delaying my own happiness until i reach that point. I do believe that I dont need to be MF to be happy. I know I am happy, great kids, great home, great husband, challenging but generally well paid and stimulating job, being MF would be the icing on the cake but not the be all. The speaker who spelt it out like that was one we had about a year ago and he was awesome, I still feel energised by his message and definitely affected the way I feel about my life.
Unfortunately tho, todays speaker made me think he would have been brilliant if presenting to people who were considering suicide, and at the begining of the day I wasnt but as he went on.........,
I was definitely thinking very negatively about being there when I could be cracking on with my huge pile of outstanding jobs back in the office.
Home now, just in time to chuck on my gym clothes, speed to the leisure centre to find out they had cancelled zumba. Was thinking a bit of bouncing around weould kill or cure, had hot bath instead.Morgage till Nov 30 GOAL MFW Sept 2016Aug 11 - £100k Aug 2016.... It's GONE!!!!!
