Hey HDK - I'm sure that if you buy a laptop you will do it in the best most money saving way possible, so just focus on getting the best deal ever........ My mum got me the regular kindle for Christmas and its fab - I will pop it in my (lovely) handbag when I'm away on the train or flying etc........

Thanks Lula. Might have a look round on Sunday (working today, NY day off then till Sat unless can move some hours round, but do plan to try), will do some surfing first though.

Eating out of may last box of bargain porridge. Knew it wouldnt take that long to get through. Should have bought more....

Hate getting up at 5am when the whole world is sleeping. 3 very happy puddy cats got breakfast though. Watching the news, looks like all the prime ministers / presidents are trying to get into the mFW forum.. could make a few money saving suggestions for them all...... don't get me started!

    Hi HDK
I'd recommend a careful think about what you want to achieve using the gadgets before buying. If you have other gadgets that access the Internet then would you want a kindle to as well? Personally I'd go for a kindle paper white as it is better for eyes when reading at night and doesn't require the main light to be on. It would also encourage me to take a break from Internet before bed!

  • Probably right Jellie. Think I should buy the laptop as currently using any excuse not to study and so would be one less reason.

Friends just left so just the 2 of us to celebrate NY in. My big boy (cat not DH) has come in and hid under christmas tree and seems spooked although I havent heard any fireworks yet.

Today worked half and half. On shop floor (metaphor) till 10 then cracked on with all the weekly audits and end of month stuff (like time sheets) plus recruitment stuff. Busy but staffing better.

on 4th glass of wine and its mid week but BH dont count...

I saw the strangest sight last night from one of our windows, of two foxes apparently watching fireworks...

Happy new year HDK, hope it's a good one
  • Thanks Lula, Ed. Happy New year to you both too, and all the rest of the MFW gang including the jucing sub group.

Just had a quick sneaky peek at my NW accounts as all fresh and 2013 lovely on their website. Had a look at my current account too but that wasnt quite a cheering.:(
