Yes, everything is here now HDK, although I might still pick up some chocs/sweet type things for the boys stockings at some point over the next few days..... But all of the postal stuff is here.

My postie is lovely, I've wrote her card out and just need to find a £5 note to pop in it. She's brilliant, I've not had to go to the post place at all this year, she always hides things and leaves notes.

Pouring down here today, ds2 at nursery and ds1 home with me. Need to do some work but am debating whether to take him to the cinema to watch nativity 2 a bit later......
  • I called halt on Christmas shopping last Saturday... I stil had a few ideas for my nearest and dearest but I've decided to save those ideas for birthdays or next Christmas. I also did a test run of filling stockings with the actual presents... it's fine, no need to buy anymore, there were a few things I'd forgotten I'd bought!

Some friends of ours don't buy their kids any Christmas presents at all... the kids grandparents and aunts agree not to put labels on the presents and the kids believe everything is from Santa!!!

  • Still awaiting 1 item but will survive if doesnt come. Did my long day and was very busy, due to staff sickness. Tomorrow have school church service, Dd1 and 2 music exams (need to fetch, do and return them to school) need to do some food shopping and also their music teachers yearly "show" in the evening.

I believe (read hope) its pay day tomorrow, so the money shuffling begins as well as chancing the food shop.

House full of music as kids desperately doing last minute scales.

Officially now broke up from work, my job 2 desperate for someone to cover sat night but no way ho say.

Your pot sounds as empty as mine!
  • Bless you Lula! Its alright but both me and DH get paid the same day and its nearly 6 weeks till the next pay day, clucking bell (as black adder would say) springs to mind!! It was so much nicer when he got paid mid month. Did Thursday long day as an extra but won't see that till then either.

Its official, have got to manage 2 areas temporarily (with job share) from mid Jan, so both will go to full time (in job 1). Have got them to agree to let me have other hours back when return (hence sharing both rather each managing one as hoping this will ensure its seen as temporary). Will be hard to work but havent really got a choice. Money will be better but money isnt everything... Work 34 hours now but because of my split in roles feels very nice whereas this will be a lot tougher so when you find me rocking end of Jan please be kind...

DD1 last present arrived this morning. Yay.

Panto was good, bought sweeties on way and tea at BFs after.

Day of leisure tomoz, maybe a zumba, definitely a tidy then out with BF (both families) Christmas eve.
