    Oh but of course Tilly!.

DD2 has bought them those treats from that advert where the cat crashes through the wall, which sums them up.

Worn out, so have treated myself to a glass of wine for medicinal purposes only. Tomorrow after work have got DD1 county concert which is usually brilliantly festive. Then longdays friday and sunday.

Break up monday for christmas, returning on the friday and saturday after (due to cleverly placed annual leave).

Ed, I agree re no change, I am the same due to being very like the queen and rarely carrying cash. Have only just started having any change at all, due to the council stopping the school bus.

Hi HDK - Just catching up with people :) The concert story made me lol too - I think I put my parents through a few of those!
  • Thanks Ammonite.
Have another tonight but this one should be good and I'll be all glowy and proud as its at the Royal Concert Hall.

School Fayre tomorrow but thats DH job to attend as working. He absolutely hates it, I used to chair the PTA for several years but gave it up as you get worn down by the monotony of asking for help and moaning. The challenge is that as its in a tiny hall but wall to wall people, with only a handful of stalls as no one wants to actually help. I used to love doing the tombola because it never ceased to amaze me, absolutely tat on it but they keep spending and spending till its all gone. (bit like ebay really!)

I know what you mean re PTA - It's so dis heartening when 99.9% of the parents arent interested in do anything to support... wall and head banging spring to mind... Our PFA has pretty much fallen apart now as there just wasn't enough of us to do it. Shame for the children :(
  • I also enjoyed the concert story... but then got panged with guilt as I did dancing, instrumental groups, choirs, netball, drama etc. etc. as a kid... my poor mum must have had her brains bored on frequent occasions!

  • Stayed in bed till a glorious 9am, did wake up at 5 though.

Done my jobs as well as a aldi stock up. Have about £100 grocery money to last till pay day.

Working a proper f/t job has loomed again, to cover some mat leave. Still trying to avoid but I think this time theres no where left to hide. Should know more by next week. :o

Christmas staff night out cancelled as numbers dwindled due to staff sickness and booked surgeries. Put my £10 deposit into my OP pot as may as well:(

2 more days to work then break up but still have a busy week planned.

Unfortunately this week will be my worst, i am happy with what I have spent on the kids however i now start to worry.... This is where all my worst and most random buys occur...

Oh HDK, you and me both.... The trouble with doing the shopping in advance is that we forget what has been bought and panic that they won't have much to open..... This is where I end up splurging and buying extra. Trying hard not to but already have had things come along to tempt me.... Still trying to resist.

Be strong, together we can resist the temptation!!!
  • Already slipped.. just bought DD1 clarinet stand on ebay.

    Will try harder, promise Lulabelle!
