Had lovely day out today at farm park with BF and families. Was very wet but did outsidey stuff in gaps. Was semi frugal and took buttered cobs, pop, flask and treats and bought 3 lots of chips (£5.10) to make chip cobs, also had a 10% off voucher cut out of primary times and so free animal food as well (saved £7 total).

We came home, had batch cooked lasagne and then watched Despicable me (our family most fave DVD - to the point of knowing the words) then kids to bed. Have just finished putting prezzies in piles so now glass of wine in hand. Shut the door on that room as cats very naughty!

All went ok. Got to show off my lovely renovated house to my youngest older brother. Last time he came was 3 weeks after we moved in and pre extension / renovation. It had been empty pre us for several years (old couple, man died and lady went in NH but daughter promised not to sell house so was empty quite a long time before she died) and had very 60's decor, as well as some dodgey extensions (flat roof rear extension and single storey kitchen all of which was leaky, gallons of condensation due to alluminium doors / patio and old windows)

All gone, had our bath and kids stopping at grandparents tonight so house very quiet. Just the 2 of us, so sausage (brothers own piggies) cob (with brown sauce) for tea with christmas cake for pud.

Have my £1500 OP cheque written ready to post on the 1st.

Its lovely making the big dints. Morgage 1 fixed period ends feb so am cashing in endowments and then it will be MS'ing only to get those OP's. Reworking figures as I can get a much better deals on the morgages next year as all 3 finish their fixed period and NW are doing one at 2.99% for 2 yrs which hope to go for. If all goes to plan think im on track to finish as predicted in OP as sept 2017 as long as keep nose to grindstone.

Had a mardy few days recently were felt fed up of feeling broke all the time as have hardly anything left in current account but Im manning up again. Think just need to ensure I compromise where necessary which means it wouldnt be unreasonable to treat myself to a new lap top....?? as a 40th birthday treat??
