So sorry to hear about Tiger, I have a soft spot for all ginger cats.

Life sounds very full on at the moment - are you enjoying the challenge?

Yes definitely. Thanks Ed. It's harder than I thought but I'm enjoying it loads more than I thought. Been extended till end of September.

Only downside is that it does seem to consume my every waking hour, reason not here as frequently as I get home and then start trying to get through my work emails, and plan my must do list. I'm sure it will calm down.

Hi HDK, trying to catch up on diaries. Brilliant to read you're at £600 :T:T:T

Really look forward to reading your plans for the future. Completely agree with 'grave' comment.

I'm feeling as excited as when Sqirrel was finishing her mortgage - I'm sure that's been three years ago now.

    Best wishes Tilly xxxxx

Thanks Tilly, got a letter with final amount on it this week, so made it very real. Just one more pay day.
Starting already, had tea out last night..

Wanted to post rather than just read. I can't wait to share your mortgage freedom, I agree with Tilly that it is just as exciting for those of us sitting on the guidelines. 5 years and I can start to get excited for my own MF journey.

Thanks AJM. I just think how fast my time has flown by, seems almost ridiculously far away at the beginning and then whoosh it's now just a few weeks away..

My other goal of marathon runner is also closer, my long is now 19 miles, did a 13 this week but a very hilly one which again really pushed us.

It's the whole day gone, hence never doing this again. It takes 3:35 but the rest of the day I'm just broken.. Have to have a nap !

Fell on Friday. Was doing my friday night 6 miler and got to mile 5, feeling the love, built up some speed and tripped. REALLY hurt. Both Knees, especially left, very swollen, struggling with stairs. Also bumped elbow, shoulder and head so also bruised / grazed. So not running today and no gym or class saturday. knee actually looks more swollen today and just aches. Hey ho, my 3rd running fall but definitely the worst.

Had a really good week at work. Had at least 4 very senior people email me following a recent meeting to say they were very impressed by the way I came across and that I obviously had a fantastic grasp on my areas. It was also implied that they were keen to help with finding another post at the end of my secondment. so we will see..
This week felt so much easier too, theres certain bits of the role that I knew I would struggle with and have tackled each as they have hit, (for example finding / analysing performance data, managing complaints at this level (formulating response recieved from managers to send out) governance, etc.. fortunately one at a time. I still have a couple left on the list but definitely broke its back. So the week just felt easier.

Pay slip landing in my in box as get paid 27th. Then on the 1st will be all done as lined up ready.
So come August the 1st I will be MORGAGE FREE!!
That is more than 14 years early (was Nov 2030 planned)
