Thanks Everyone. Its her first year of A levels so another one to go.
Shes thinking law at the moment. I am VERY proud though.
Next year will be hard, youngest 1st yr GCSE, DD2 last year GCSE and DD1 last year A levels..

Ran today, was really hard as only done shorts since hurt my knee. So rang 13.9 mile but was exhausted. Knee throbbing now and just 5 weeks to go. So frustrating.

Looks like my post might get extended again, should hear more next week. My bosses boss whose new came for a visit of my patch on Friday. She said both times she'd met me was impressed and "theyd find something for me after my secondment" so fingers crossed.

Had big fundraising event on Saturday and went incredibly well. Waiting for totals but we were at £500 on the raffle hours before it finished and there was loads of other stalls.

life is VERY good at the moment.

Yes CathT. Makes me nervous... I was thinking today when running that literally every bit of my life is fab at the moment. My new job is really hard, is infiltrating my home life but I am so much enjoying it. I feel a real skip to work. Crazy as it is manic!

My girls are doing brilliantly, all seem to be working hard, well adjusted and nice. I have always felt that me and Dave have the best relationship, i literally dont know anyone who is as close as we are. Running together is like date night.

Then Pay day this month will be with no outgoing morgage. We have next to no savings but so what. We'll get there.

My knee hurts, slightly behind on marathon schedule but I was struggling with emptying the dishwasher 18 months ago and 3 years ago I was 5 stone heavier. I feel brilliant.

Thinking Im heading for a fall....

Just to add. Saw really good deal on grabbit thread.

Goody bag includes lipstick voucher (so get to pick colour etc) cappuccino eyeshadow (which is really nice) mascara and uplifter (under foundation stuff). I fetched mine Saturday and for£20 I got so much stuff and needed foundation stuff anyway so WIN WIN

  • Really pleased everything is going well. But there is a reason for that.. You made it happen! You reap what you sow, and You have worked really hard. So don't worry, just enjoy it!
Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D

You're not heading for a fall, you're getting so much out of life because of what you put in. Continue to enjoy the celebrations and memorable moments.

    Bless you SSS. xx

I definitely am. Can't quite believe how brill life is at the moment. Exhausting but fabulous.

Im very goal orientated, I am adding a revised end of year list.

So I would like to have ticked the marathon off, I'd also like to still be in this role, ideally substantively but if that involves further secondment ot a different area then so be it. I love where I work but I love the challenge more.

I'd also like to (once marathon complete) step back to running 6-10 miles max and using my spare time to redecorate. Starting in the girls bedrooms.

Day off tomoz, just me and DD1 &2 (DD3 off on D of E week) so planning a shopping centre. Have worked out that none motorway route (so DD1 can drive as on L's) take 20 minutes longer but thats fine as be good practice. Test is booked for Nov!

  • My job is quite strange, just trying to head off a complaint as we speak. Staff are in 24/7 so get very random emails at any time of the day.
You can see easily from the the late night email traffic which ones of us struggle to let go..
I frequently have an hour long email chat on a friday night!
