Ouch at the emails. I'm dreading switching my work phone on when I go back. It's bad enough each Monday morning!

I went on a run with someone who has been hitting the headlines for doing a series of marathons recently and she takes sweets and handed us some out on the run which was about 9.5 miles. I did find it pretty hard to breathe and chew though so am tempted by jelly babies as they go down easier! I did just under 8 miles without water recently and altered my route to make sure I was in the shade as the sun decided to come back out after I had set off! I will be taking water next time. If we lived a little bit closer we could do the same half marathon!

    Yes that would be fab.
On the water thing, I have tried quite a few bottles, and found that a sturdy one like a normal bottle with a runners hole has been far easier to use then those see through plastic runners bottle. like these

    I must try sweets.

Managed 6 mile in under an hour tonight but was really hard, could easily have packed in at 10 mins. Was running 6.2 but at 30 mins dropped to 6 as didn't feel I would be able to manage another minute. Tredmill so much faster than my outside pace.

Yes, this!! Frustrating isn't it.....I can't seem to judge it at all either, despite Nike app's best efforts :D

I can run forever on a treadmill, even on random hill settings, but put me on a pavement/road and I fall to bits :o

    Chocs

I like running downhill. To me, that's like running on a treadmill!

Yes, chocs and CAthT- its bizarre. Although I do love running outside. I think its being able to look around (peoples gardens, wildlife, etc) and also head space to think clearly and solve work problems.

Long work day, 450 emails read (excluding todays fresh batch). Few issues but nothing devastating in my absence.

  • First post holiday run outside. 6 Mile in 65 min. Crickey was tough. Usually do long on Sunday which is currently 12 mile but think will do shorter version for a couple of weeks.

Lovely sunshine, so washing out and nipped to aldi for more fruit and veg. Reweigh v positive, just need to drop a lb to be back in my range.

Ran 10 mile yesterday and thighs throbbing... Stairs have been a challenge today. Just glad did 10 not 12.

Long day in today so off tomoz. Cracked on and cleared lots of jobs but still not 100% there, but head room restored.

Have dentist for all booked tomoz plus an afternoon tea for me and my girls. Then plan (if able) a run in the evening. Should be a nice day.

All complete. Afternoon tea was lovely, I think girls felt very grown up and definitely something to do again. Plus a library visit and also fitted in school shoes.. £88 down in Clarkes outlet but nasty job done and everyone sorted. Also whilst at outlet managed to encourage dd1 to look at vacancies for weekend work. she's currently doing "volunteer" bit of NCS but big day Thursday and have day off in preparation (GSCE results day)....

Also got antibiotics for dd3 ear infection, which is the first time shes had antibiotics, at 13, I think that's impressive.

Sorry to butt in. Hello :) Just had to comment that the above is VERY impressive!! My poor DD#2 had 30 rounds of Antibiotics before she turned 3 due to ear infections! Your DD3 is obviously made of good sturdy stock! lol

You're having some productive days! Well done with all that running. My training plan informs me I need to go out for a quick run this evening, we will see. Can never be bothered after work!

Your dd is made of good stuff! Here her infection clears quickly.

    Hiya Wildsavings xx

My poor daughter has a nurse for a mother... "you'll be right" ... I was told once we aren't kind parents when it comes to sick children. I am the same with Dave and myself. I had a bite once that went cellulitic, my appointment for gp only occurred once I had the shakes from the temperature, had huge lump and to be fair probably need the antibiotics Iv.
