Gosh, was that due to the storms? We had a pretty bad one.

Good luck with the race! Hopefully the air will be a bit clearer now. Do you have a goal time?

Thanks cathT, goal was less than 65 min and did in 62 & 5 seconds. So 5 seconds off 6mph (best ever outdoor time). Was very hilly and very pleased with time. Was an first ever race and was very disorganized, registration was slow and the race got delayed by 20 minutes because of this, huge queues for portaloo s and no proper signage, saw a 1, 4 and 6 mile sign only and it was a 10k... So was hard to judge pace. But lots of people, very motivating and fun.

    Chores done, work tomorrow.

Well done you! those signs would have thrown me too. It is good fun running with others isn't it. I've done a group run, not a race but enjoyed it!

  • Well done Helen!
    Wow!
  • Well done on the race, I used to run, but did a leg muscle in and havent done it for a while. A lot of my friends have now started after me with my old running group so its a bit sad watching them carry on so I may try and get my a$$ in gear and start again but me and hills dont get on AT ALL.
I have never done more than 5k at the mo and they are all on 10k now. I also need to change my diet to run more efficiently I think.

Thanks Guys. Is fun to do a "race" every now and again. Getting excited about HM.

Did our usual 6 mile training run tonight, and managed to shave it to 63 minutes. Felt faster but comfortable.

Payday and money shuffle. First time in what seems like forever we now have some savings. Plan to upgrade my car once at a decent level. Just googling best time to buy which seems to be December. Any thoughts?

Just one mortgage account left... New amount left is 11K.

Spent entire day shopping with DDs. Very expensive day but fun. Set each of them an amount and we did pretty much stick to it. Spent £189 in primark alone.. but got LOADS.

Why don't you have a smile to accompany this? I am really starting to feel left behind on the mortgage free journey but am looking forward to getting one down to this level...whenever that may be!
