Ran 12 mile today in 2 hours 18. really pleased as goal is a) be able to do the whole 13 before "doing it" and b) to do in less than 2 1/2 hours. This now feels achievable. Afternoon shopping with dd1, did DD2 and 3 Thursday so broke..
Pay day yesterday... do the money shuffle... August sees Mortgage 2 paid off and now into last 12 months and money will now go half and half into savings. Can feel the tight belt release a notch. Skiing booked for Next year.Morgage till Nov 30 GOAL MFW Sept 2016Aug 11 - £100k Aug 2016.... It's GONE!!!!!

Wow Helen, have you entered into a half marathon? Do you take any energy snacks with you?
What a difference paying off that mortgage will make. Have you got some a/l over the summer?June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Helen well done! You are on fire!0

Well done, Helen - both on the running and getting closer with the mortgage - the end is in sight and it's such a lovely feeling!

Sorry just been catching the sunshine in Portugal. No wifi except in reception so was out of touch with the world for a fortnight. Weather not awesome with several cloudy days and 1 rainy but had lovely family time and lots of sleep.
Unfortunately did no running so tonight will be painful at the gym (dd2 swimming). Back to work tomoz so spend all day washing, ironing, had asda delivery and suitcases back in the loft. So ready... sneaky glance at work phone and have 437 unread emails. Be a long day tomorrow.
I have been very clever with my time owe CathT so will do 3 or 4 days most weeks with things planned for days off. My 4 days are weekend shift in so I'm around. Have groupon'd an afternoon tea and steam train day family trip. Also dentist for all and need to do the school clothes, plus dd1 results day next week. I haven't asked my parents to help as feel ok with them at home... (I hope!)
Thanks everyone. So pleased now just 1 mortgage account left. Plus now will have money in the bank in savings.
I take water when I run if 6 miles or more but not gels etc. Someone told me to try jelly babies but I haven't. I do tend to have a good breakfast of porridge though.
Doing Robin Hood HM in September... quite excited as was on my bucket list.
Have put 6lb on but hoping a lot will be plane weight as don't think I was that naughty (lazy yes). Have been "good" today and will reign it in till its gone so hope will go off quickly.Morgage till Nov 30 GOAL MFW Sept 2016Aug 11 - £100k Aug 2016.... It's GONE!!!!!

Ouch at the emails. I'm dreading switching my work phone on when I go back. It's bad enough each Monday morning!
I went on a run with someone who has been hitting the headlines for doing a series of marathons recently and she takes sweets and handed us some out on the run which was about 9.5 miles. I did find it pretty hard to breathe and chew though so am tempted by jelly babies as they go down easier! I did just under 8 miles without water recently and altered my route to make sure I was in the shade as the sun decided to come back out after I had set off! I will be taking water next time. If we lived a little bit closer we could do the same half marathon!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
