Must say that my toilet seat is so much more luxurious than our old one and its soft close...

My 2 year mfw thread-a-versary tomorrow. Wow, just flies. Originally wanted to pay off by Sept 2017 (rather than its destined 2030) but now definitely on track for Sept 2016, now under 32k. I can almost taste freedom. 60k down from then, wow, it's quite amazing, although some of that was cashing in my endowments.

Absolutely fantastic achievement, especially when you consider you have already achieved MF status before! :j:j

  • Thanks cathT, we were aiming for ops before we had even signed this morgage, as you definitely learn the value of op.

Study day today but still going in early, so I can catch up with 2 staff on nights to do a sickness meeting and a sickness staging. Plus have a week of being at meetings which slows down my ability to clear my task list.

Hope everyone has a good day x

  • Was like Piccadilly circus this morning, felt like I'd done a shift before my study day. Off tomoz, lunch and walk with a friend. Desperate for a glass of wine, roll on Friday...

Me too! Keeps me going all week. I have an interview Friday so hoping I can celebrate with a glass.

Have been assured I will be asked nothing strategic and it's just a conversation so cross your fingers for me.

    Will do CathT. X

Day off, just up. Always strange being off and hearing kids get ready for school, feel a little guilty not around usually but I do prefer to be home for tea and the after school stuff..

Weighed in and 2lb lost. Takes me to 61lb loSt and just 2 to go.

Parents golden anniversary in 2 weeks and just heard my aunt and uncle are coming over from Australia, which is lovely. Spent quite a lot of time with them back in the early 90s when me and Dave spent a year backpacking in Australia and only seen them 2 x since, so looking forward to seeing them.

Going to have a shower soon and do some chores.

Lovely day, lunch and a walk with my old js, then a brew with my bf. Managed to talk through a work conundrum, so now have a plan on how to manage an awkward situation which I am a bit worried about. Need to hope i can pull it off tomorrow.

Just done lbt and zumba, so in a calmer mood, having separated fighting dd3 &2, who fell out over the remote control and the fight included getting chocolate ice cream all over my lounge wall. Both have been dealt with ... but jeez .. give me strength!! A week's ban from the little lounge (with the big telly in), time spent in bed room, seems to have worked.

Managed difficult work conversation... was dreading but appeared to go ok.

Off today, shopping and gym done before the house woke up. Then took dd1 into town, library and birthday present dropped off so productive. Then lazed about reading said books. Like crime (Lee child, Patterson, etc) but currently in mood for chick lit so Katie fforde. Really enjoying reading again at moment, I tend to read fast so library a bonus as free.

My two aged almost 6 and 3 are getting to the point of needing separating at times. DD won't go and play in her room though, (well sit on her bed) as it's a box room. They do wind each other at times though!

Also glad work situation went as ok as it could and it's over with. Am not looking forward to potential situations like this now I have climbed a band!

  • I don't think it gets any easier. I always feel a bit sick in my stomach when I know I have to tell someone off or deal with particularly difficult conversation. I have got better at swallowing it back down and hopefully my wording has improved. I still have to mentally rehearse beforehand. Some weeks are worse than others, seemed to have lots of "little" chats last week about "my expectations"...

  • Had a nice day, decided to go for a run rather than gym, so was done far quicker than usual but feel same effort made.

Nipped to wickes with Dave for wood, popped into matalan and bought some new pyjamas, top just £2 on sale rail and bottoms found in normal section but 10% off with voucher. Am now wearing said pyjamas..

Sunday dinner, which is unusual for me, mentally I'm always a shift worker so have never done the Sunday meal thing. Did double so have a shep pie type affair but with chicken for dinner tomorrow.

Chores done, so house back to clean and tidy, ready for the week ahead.
