Why not see if there is a Glee club nearby ? They meet up to sing popular songs for fun and you dont have to be a great singer.0

I'd agree with the others - you have a nice voice to listen to, but you did miss a few notes and you don't have much power behind your voice. I'd say that a singing teacher could definitely help you improve. But if that's too expensive, why not find some books / videos on singing and practice yourself. If you use your voice more, and practice singing, I'd say you will improve quite quickly.0

I wish I could sing like you. Find out if there is a rock choir or similar near you,http://www.rockchoir.com/ think that would be great fun.

You've got a lovely voice!

I think you have a really nice voice, you just need confidence. Hopefully all the positive responses here will have helped

Why on earth does your husband build you up then knock you down though???:(0 -
Very nice tone, but not much oomph, you're singing all in head voice (nothing supporting it i.e. diaphragm) and you do drop flat on some notes - there's a bad habit there of letting your voice drop down rather than aiming for a note and hitting it (for want of a better explanation!).
But the good news is that singing lessons could definitely help you to project more and to identify and weed out the bad habits that are making you hit some notes flat. If you can get your diaphragm working properly you will make a better, louder sound and a good singing teacher will teach you proper technique.
I definitely think you should get some lessons and join a choir or two - you clearly have an ear for music and can hit a note. You do have a lovely tone in your head voice - you just need to learn how to 'unlock' your chest voice and get some technique under your belt.
Go for it, in other words
(as background, I have been singing for 10 years and sing in lots of different choirs and groups)0 -
I think you sound quite good - nice clear voice, but like others have said, not much power but if you're singing with others, you'll grow in confidence and start belting it out! Is that your natural singing voice or are you deliberately singing in a high key to suit that song? I'm like you - quite a good singer but never had training etc. However, there are some songs I just can't sing as they're in the wrong key for me and I'm not trained to sing these songs in my own key which is quite low. Take That's Patience is perfect for me and Kenny Roger's part of Island's In The Stream - I just can't reach Dolly's notes!
The good thing about singing in a choir, they'll give you appropriate songs/parts of songs which will suit your voice.
I'd love to do it myself so lots of luck!0 -
Thanks everyone, I hid for a little bit lol I just havn't ever even done karaoke or anything so have no idea how I come across to people.. I don't want to sound like one of those looneys on the x factor where everyone is horrified even if it is just for fun! I feel abit unsure what type of songs suit my voice ect.
