We just had sausage rolls and beans for tea (sausage rolls megga reduced 30p for 12 little ones) and beans about 15p I think. We loved them so much because it isn't the kind of thing we would normally eat, but B good!

I don't know whether it's cheap but it looks like I spent a lot of time and effort on it and it tastes wonderful. The best part is that it really is a decent meal in under 15 minutes.
You need: depending on number)
couple of red chillis, chopped and deseeded
Some spring oninons chopped
Chicken breast, chopped or sliced
2 desert spoons of red pesto
Pot of single cream
Dried or fresh pasta
While the pasta is cooking cook the onion and chillis for a couple of minutes then add chicken. Once chicken is cooked on the outside add the pesto and then the cream. If you want more sauce you can either add more cream or skimmed milk. Toss pasta in sauce when cooked and serve. It also tastes lovely without the chicken.~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)

I do Gypsy/french toast. Bread dipped in egg and milk and browned in butter. My kids love it with obligatory tomatoe ketchup. Its great for using those last few slices of bread that are not quite as fresh for sandwichs. I have also done them up like a sandwich with cheese in them dipped in egg mixture then browned in butter.
Oh so that's what it's called! We always used to call it 'eggybread'.0 -

Same here! I used to love eggy bread. Though I wouldn't have it savoury, I would have it sweet with golden syrup or honey spread over it. Lovely!0

We had hot bacon and avocado sandwiches for dinner today with some left over salad - avocados are half price in tesco this week so I plan to make the most of it!0
