So there's an "internal" code .... Does that mean we can only find out by telephoning them or going to a bank .... Thanks, anyway.0 -

Yes, it's the only way bar waiting for your first interest payment early Tuesday morning and working it out for yourself.0 -
sorry to open up an old thread.
does anyone know if the 4% offer is still valid for the year if i reduce my direct debits (1 per month) or move my direct debits to another account.
i've got a leaflet and all it stated at the time was:
"As long as you apply and have two Direct Debits set up by 31 October 2012, you could be earning up to 4% AER variable interest on your whole balance up to £6,000 until 31 October 2013".0 -
You can't apply now if that's what you mean. Applications had to be in by the end of October last year.0

The T&Cs are a bit ambiguous on this but why risk it when it's a doddle to set up DDs?

i've already got the account.
i had 2 active direct debits per month, but this will be one as i have negotiated free broadband.
i have 4 direct debits set up on the account. 2 are dormant credit cards.
i guess i could set up more.
i'm interest though in the first direct £100 / £125 offer which means to switch though doesn't it.0 -
Just set up a couple more DDs and you're done.0

Yes, you have to use their switching service to qualify for the incentive, but you only need to transfer a min of 2 DD/SO's. You can therefore set up two standing orders for £1 to yourself as an annual payment in (say) November, then select just these two from the list of direct debits and standing orders FD send you as part of the switching service, then cancel them when everything's sorted with FD0
