Probably hoping that a lot of customers don't realise this and think they're going to get 4%. Also how many people out there can actually check the interest is right? I'm betting the ones that know how to check will know to re-apply and the ones that don't will just believe they're on 4%0 -
Best read up about it in the thread over on the Savings board - it contains answers to all your questions, and I see you already found it.0

The website is not very clear on what interest is being paid - there ought to be a quick figure visible at the top of the account details - instead of having to trawl through often out-of-date info.
It took a 10 minutes call, and two advisors to get my account upped; and my 9 digit phone-banking number is no longer valid ! I should have a 6 digit one ....0 -

And you were being unnecessarily sarcastic because you thought as an existing customer you had some right to an increased rate and had to call them and ask for it!0 -

Yes, correct, exactly as I said, because of the BoE base rate!! No actually about it!
It had been at 0.50% with no expectation of change for the foreseeable future, therefore not viable for Lloyds to maintain.0 -

As a Lloyds customer, I'm annoyed not to have been alerted to this. I definitely allowed them to send me marketing by email only so am not sure why they wouldn't bother to alert you...Sealed Pot Challenge #239

The only email I get from Lloyds is when I log into secured online banking. Any email from Lloyds is usually phishing email which gets ignored.
I only found out about the offer on here. Though I've seen the TV advert a few times, not sure if it's being actively promoted to existing customers as signed up on day one.
Not been in branch for a while so could be advertised here too. A secure message, like the one saying the system was going down at the weekend might be in order if anyone from Lloyds is looking in.0
