Putting My Life Into Order

update from me
- I'm back and now I'm doing this my way - project pay off is underway well and truly.
- ex and company with ex is totally in the past.
- I am taking tablets as prescribed by doctor and feel like im zombified if a little/ lot calmer.
- I've been for a raft of job interviews - full on, hard sell, in your face, high commission earning jobs that I have avoided like the plague for years whilst I enjoyed my time working from home and the self employment cushion. Now its time to return to it and sell sell sell and earn earn earn. I've been offered one position starting January - basic of 24K with an OTE of 35+ and I've accepted it. Till then I bide my time at the employed job and pick up a full months wage at the end of the month.
- revised offers have not been made yet to creditors - I'm going to give the new wage again a chance to kick in then decide what to do - don't know whether to continue as I am in the DMP and save for F&F or up my offers to everyone - this is a work in progress.
- Xmas is paid for - kids getting money so they can get what they want and all goodies (such as they are) accounted for.
2014 I want cut down what I owe by 33% which is quite a target but I've got to have something to aim for.0 -
Go you Catandy !!!
2014 will be your year ...Sealed pot challenge 822
Jan - £176.66 :j0 -
wish I had your optimism - I'm in a funk that I've forgotten how to sell and I'm not up to the job in the New Year - too much time to think on my hands me thinks. anyways I'm going to go and do it and do my bestest and if that isn't good enough they will be sure to get rid of me (there is absolutely no loyalty in the telesales business!)
DS1 and DS2 both are well, infact they are thriving now that all is calm in our household. No more dramas or tears or ups and downs caused by ex or company with ex which is great. By mid Jan I change my home telephone and mobile numbers which means that the only way contact can be made is by turning up at my door (supremely doubtful) or email (already blocked his addy) so things will improve further - just going to take some time to pan out.
tablets from the doctors have been a lifesaver - its made me realise how low I had actually sunk and I'm beginning to take pleasure in things again, infact I feel like im starting to come to life again. I'm also absolutely determined that I will never get involved with anyone again or allow myself to be taken advantage of - I'm disgusted and angry with myself that I became so weak as to let it all happen but I am going to dig myself out of this hole cos all the time it takes that me to happen just reminds me that I will never allow anyone to take advantage or me or mine again - my kids have both been warned on pain of something really nasty that if they ever get trapped by someone or circumstances they will have me to answer to!0 -
It's good to hear from you

It will take time but there are good people out there who wouldn't need to lean on you and could bring joy to your life - and they turn up when you least expect so keep one eye half open, perhaps next Xmas.....

broken up for xmas break (hurrah) and finished at employed job Number 1 and ready to start employed job Number 2 in the New Year. Before that going to have a nice restive family Christmas with no drama or hassle - bliss!
just logged in and checked my noddle report to see that ive finally been awarded the last of my default notices but also that one of my debts (Aqua) has 'dropped off' my report. its been taken over by a DCA so most likely just waiting to be updated with new info but for a minute I thought my balance owing had dropped by £1K+ as if by magic (oh well a girl can dream...)
Happiness reigns in my household

well ive decided to leave it to next months update before I try to solve the mystery of the disappearing debt - makes it look good that its not there any more but oh well by this time next year I will be saying that for real - aqua is number 1 on the hit list for next year.
redone my budgets in line with upped salary from jan onwards - revised offers kick in Feb onwards so got a months headstart with the extra money coming in which is nice. my budget for groceries has been reset at 146£ pw which has gone up considerably and is the maximum I am allowed, mind you my two sports-mad strapping 18 year olds seem to have hollow legs and are always hungry - just don't know where they put it all. so that went up but petrol has been reduced dramatically - I'm on the bus and lifts for DS1 and DS2 are being rationed severely. anyway it all evens out and the good news is my payments per creditor are upped from January so the balances outstanding will start to drop down by chunks which is all good. all good

well back at work on Monday so all prepared for that - ready to put my salesman head on and batter them till they say yes

this month is tighter than usual with bus pass to work to be covered that is not in my usual spends plus a change of date again for payday. Oh well the good thing is I'm better off than I was this time last year so things are improving - just keep on doing what I'm doing.
I'm having a clear out and am posting on EBay and FB pages plus I've given Gumtree a go so have to see what response I get there. Just a couple of extra £100 to clear all the stuff would be good tbh I just want the space back! DS1 and DS2 are back into their routines again and have been told to 'not come it' for the next couple of months - time to tighten that belt for all of us
onwards and balances downwards we go0 -
Hi so pleased to see you still plodding ,think its the way to go a.happy new year hope the new job goes wellSo finally debt free and it feels amazing however continuing here to stay debt free.Next declutter house and body and finally swim under that waterfall x0

first day at new job down - more to come. Not OTT impressed nor do I hate it so I will take that as a good sign - best thing of all is early finish if you hit target so the onus is on me to sell and get out of there

taking some black bags of stuff into the cash by kg place tomorrow so should be another 20£ there to help with the cash flow for the month. menu planning done for the whole of this week and should only need bread and milk so ok there. DS1 has his first full pay cheque on 10th so its already burning a hole in his pocket
just hope he's sensible with it but I'm not really in a position to be able to lecture about thriftiness am I?
content in all @ the moment and long shall it continue

extra £500 in the form of a cheque came thru this morning as an apology for loan missold to me with payment protection - I didn't have payment protection insurance on it I had some sort of they cover it if I lost my job etc. for the interest portion only so not really sure and cant be bothered to dig out the paperwork. going to get cheque into the account tomorrow so it starts clearing already - so first win of the new year
