Putting My Life Into Order

I think I'm going to stick with it for now - yes I need to get my money out but it deserves another couple of months of my time to see if it comes good in the end - did $750 sales in 3 hours last night so we are evening out at 250 ph making us a profit of 47.5 every hour of use or about 30£ p/h. just need to up production - how many times have I said that now?
got 20 hours worth of freelance work this week until something else comes in with the same next week if I want it - got to put the pressure on outsourcing contract now so they either sort it out or I walk away and they end up looking for staff again. sick of being messed around by people with work all the time.0 -
just worked out money for the month and still doing ok - even with the stopping of freelancing and non starting of contract work though I am running out of time now and need to get something sorted and set in stone. got maximum till the end of the week before I need to do something drastic.. still pushing all companies involved for some straight answers.
got a letter from a dca who has taken over mbna debt and I am to pay them direct now and not the original creditor. so I stop the one payment and set up another - makes no difference to me who gets it just that its paid and goes down and not up
nothing needed spend wise now for the week - well ok maybe a bottle of milk at the most
business with ex yesterday did 545$ making a grand total of profit this trading week so far (since Sunday morning) of £350 (we got some sales as well hence the higher margins) - should do another 100 or so as only have another 2 shifts scheduled in this week, new company are on shutdown now for a week which is not really the time we needed it to happen. its averaging out at 100£+ profit per day with the new company using the system, they have 2 users live currently and are upping to 6 in total between now and xmas. original contract make us 480pm without breaking sweat - so that just covers the running costs and anything else they do is just bunce. and just got another contract in that should start Friday so fingers crossed there as well- u know looking at those figures a full month at just that capacity would make a profit for the company of 3.5k so I'm being a bit of an idiot thinking of walking away, just hold fire and get my sticky mitts on what ive paid in.:D

ok contract work will be sorted by Monday apparently plus I've got some contract work again, another 10 days work at some admin work that I can do 'out of hours' so on paper it looks like I am doubling up and working on 2 things at once but in reality I will be working one job during the day and then starting again at the other in the evening.. pleased with that
business with ex - new contract went live last night and they overloaded our system - they're capacity was 6x the biggest hit we have taken so far and our system couldn't cope with it... I've been speaking with hosting companies and have decided to change our supplier - more than double our server resources with new hosting co plus keep a fall over server for other stuff we do and still save 160£ pm in running costs making more £ we have as profit which can only be a good thing. changes have to take place asap so will be a busy couple of days getting it organised. (moral of the story is it pays to check suppliers for everything - we have stayed with the same hosting company for 3 years and never even checked if we could get better prices elsewhere)..
DS1 has some work experience organised by Job Centre, its the first time I've seen him up and out of bed at 7am since he finished at college about 4 months ago and I think it half killed himDS2 has an interview tomorrow for another job, company where he is doing his apprenticeship have given him notice they are laying off half of their staff. so job search for him as well me thinks...
apart from that life just plods on0 -
off to see my Mom again today - she's slowing down so I want to spend as much time as I can with her before she is totally incapable of going out or recognising me. I truly hate dementia and the legacy it leaves.
DS1 had a mini breakdown last night, he hates being out of work and having nothing to do, is sick of being rejected or not even acknowledged by applying for so many jobs and isn't enjoying the transition between 'student and carefree teenager' and 'responsible adult' at all. I asked him about going back to college again and he doesn't want to do that, maybe an easier ride from the JC would help a bit - his advisor told him he has 'wasted his chances' by not continuing his education - hardly helpful or supportive really is it?
ex is having health problems, enough to be admitted to hospital for tests on his heart function (he had a series of heart attacks about 10 years ago and very little problems since), waiting to hear what is wrong and if there is anything I can do to help.
business with ex is going great guns - $800 sold last night in 4 hours making us 115£ profit - we are going up to 20 hours production pw from one of the contracts next week and another works out to about 30 hours pw from end of month. Also had another sales query yesterday as a referral but not got that yet - the negotiations start once I have it clear what the client is looking for! the would be client wants a presentation to his board which will mean a trip down to London overnight stay and meetings spread over 2 days - so got to get busy putting it all together when I get his proposal thru.
nothing else to report - exciting uh?0 -
contract work put back properly till the new year when crm will be in place meaning I don't have to connect remotely to their precious it systems, which means that I seem to be jobless again cos I trusted people and expected them to stand by their word/ promises. have contacted company that I freelance for and apparently they have commission only work that I can do if I want (but it doesn't earn me commission so makes no sense in doing it) - will not have any day rate work for another month!! - at this rate im going to be looking at signing on for JSA again
:(

ok officially jobless/ workless again and have filled in my application for JSA again yesterday which means that Housing Benefit and council tax benefit will take the pressure off a bit when they come thru.
I've also now officially given up the self employed/ contract/ freelance route - my job (telesales) was a 10 month role so I always had a couple of lean months each year - its now turning into 6 months of plenty then zilch for the other 6 months giving me zero stability and I've decided I cannot live on my nerves anymore. 9 years of it including 2 periods with no work at all for 4 months at a time and I've had it - need the security of an employed job and regular hours and NI contributions being taken out at source and set break times and lots of normal stuff like that
I've started the job search already - applied for 5 positions so far this morning so will just keep doing the same till I find something. aim is 5 applications a day - something will come out of that surely0 -
appointment to sign on for jsa tomorrow morning followed by an interview for me pm and then me ferrying my DS1 to his interview later in the afternoon so going to be a busy day, and likely to be stressfull as well cos I'm finding everything hard going at the moment with things being up in the air like they are.
business with ex has made about 400/450 this month so far - haven't worked out the exact amount because some of it is higher profit margin rates as we're starting to get sales ourselves now as well. want to finish on 1500 for the month minimum which makes 1200£ profit after running costs are paid. all infinitely doable and realistic - just a shame that none of it will hit my bank balance yet awhile0 -
angry at myself for wasting 7 quid odd yesterday when I was out for a late interview and got caught in traffic. I've been diagnosed with pre-diabetes meaning I go all shaky and sickly feeling if I don't eat / drink on a regularlish schedule so ended up buying stuff when I was out. OMG I cant believe I used to waste money like that virtually every lunch time - it certainly mounts up quickly!
anyway interview yesterday I'm waiting to hear if I'm called back for second meeting with them and have got another one set up today with another company. I've kept to the 5 applications a day and have 3 companies that have contacted me so far, 2 interviews set up and a fone aptitude test completed. I will get back to work asap.
business with ex got a contract from the sales query that came in last week, roll out timescale to be agreed today/ tomorrow then head down to London and get the contract signed and sealed. could have them live in a weeks time if they want to do it that fast but I get the feeling 3 to 4 weeks is more realistic from their side, it seems to take that long for all of these companies to organise themselves. I also saw a request for the product we provide to another company yesterday on an industry web board so I will make an approach to them later today.
everything just ticking along as always..0 -
second interview set up for Monday so fingers crossed for that
and son got second interview for Friday of next week as well as a work trial so hopefully he is given a chance to show what he can do.
DS1 and DS2 both got a night out planned over the weekend listening to one of their friends bands play at a local pub so couple of pints provided by band for them to be unofficial 'roadies' and a cheap night all round. DS1 also has a wrestling match tonight so that means another nights entertainment at zero cost so all good there.
worked out I have spent 90£ on grocery shopping since the beginning of the month so should finish on £270 for full month at that rate which I don't think is bad at all. budget worked out when I was working gave me 580 for the 3 of us for the month so I'm going to come in well under that which is good cos it means I cam syphon the money off into a pot to pay a chunk off something.
want to see updated noddle report (ive started checking it monthly) partly so I can see with my own eyes that interest on Aqua debt has finally been frozen. ive been told this before only for it to be reintroduced so im a bit sceptical to say the least.
nothing else earth shattering going on - business with ex did 750$ of sales last night making us 90£ in 3 hours from one user. tonight there are supposed to be 6 users on the system as move to bigger server is supposed to be complete and we are supposed to have the extra capacity (I'm currently biting my fingernails that this gets done in time).0
