I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?
  • It has been grim but she is doing better, keep praying for her.

am ok. in need of half term and more opportunities to see my friend and her daughter.

    please do keep praying

    thank you xx

  • Hello Everyone

My friend's little girl is doing the same. hanging on. fewer drugs. Keep praying. We all love her so much.

Well half term is finally here. Predictably I feel a bit rough! although that could be the "beef hotpot" I just ate. I loathe ready meals especially those with meat in. When I live on my own I will eat far more fresh food.

just salt, water and cheap meat.

It is IMPOSSIBLE to live with someone who does not meal plan or listen when you say you don't like something.

Mum bought the ready meals. the other one she bought has chillies in. Which.............how shall I put this.........make me very ill!

I am constantly eating crap. Mainly cos that is all there is and she spends between £50 and 80 a week on food..........

In fact I might research some food options.

    But first.

    October was a spendy month.

however I had a bit of a moment and went on a returning spree.

eg Matalan order - return £68, Mand S order 82 quid returned, Ikea - hopefully £23

and I just forced myself to stop buying stuff.

I have bought Christmas presents tho. almost sorted.

    right meal planning

    BRB

  • As far as as I was aware I was acting on it Chev.Sorry it isn't quick enough for you! :)
    Nevertheless she persisted.
  • I didn't get back here last night, ended up having interesting conversations with a guy from a dating website who hopefully I will meet next week, depending on hospital etc.

I did find some recipes, just for simple stuff like stew but I am not sure Mum would want to cook and I get in too late most evenings but maybe I could make stuff at the weekend and freeze it.

Todays plans involve painting the bathroom, cleaning out animals and feeding my friend's cats.

I do need breakfast first. At least that is relatively easy - Toast!

Sorry didn't mean to nag. I just don't want you to get to my age and still be stewing over this.

I am keeping your friends little on in my prayers. And I don't bother him upstairs that often.

Batch cooking is the way to go. And when your mum asks why keep up the broken record approach that ready meals aren't healthy and you want to watch your weight. After the two hundredth or so repetition is will start to sink in. I am not being nasty at your mum, but repeating the same thing is a psychological technique to making someone actually LISTEN to what you are saying, rather than hearing what they THINK you are saying.

    good luck
