  • Fluff, course I can. I was going to ask if you wanted it. There are a couple of different recipes, so we will see how these turn out. I'm looking forward to it!

I've had 2 days on plan, and today is my third. This isn't much but it's good to be back on it after nearly 2 weeks of being off it. Weighing in tomorrow so fingers crossed I've lost some of what I gained!

  • Does anyone know if this is true or am I being wound up! Been told that Pizza hut use olive oil on their salads to keep them fresh, I find this highly unbelievable as I am sure you would taste it, but would like to make sure before we next go there, my first visit while being on slimmers world, torture, I looove melted cheese!

So pizza hut went...ok. I had lasagne but didn't eat much of it, 2 salad bowls and I did go a little further and had a small bowl of ice cream. I don't mind a small gain this week but I wouldn't be 100% happy with one. Going to be walking tons tomorrow and wednesday before weigh in so will be drinking plenty of water and having fruit etc to balance it out :) Fingers crossed it goes ok!

  • Hi all,

Doing ok here, fell off the wagon on Saturday as we had a family wedding but our official start day is today so full steam ahead from here!

Does anyone have a low syn recipe for flavouring a stir-fry? Used a bodged together marinade for beef which was tasty but the meal as a whole was quite bland. We had beef, prawns, lots of veg and noodles with scrambled egg mixed in. We usually use a sachet of Chinese stir-fry sauce from tesco's but thought this might be high in syns. We love stir fry but need some flavour!

Made the mullerlight ice-cream but it's a hard as a rock, will have to take it out of the freezer for a while before I serve it for pud tomorrow! I did keep stirring it with a fork every so often as it froze but obviously not often enough lol!

I tend to just chuck some oyster sauce (not sure if this is free) or soy sauce on it all.

In my stir fry I use garlic, ginger, soy sauce, fish sauce and oyster sauce. Oyster sauce is 1/2 syn per tablespoon, the rest are free.

As i dont know your personal tastes cant recommend any particular ones, Blue dragon sachets are fairly low as they work out between 5-8.5 syns per sachet or try the slimming eats website and see what is available on there for ones you make up relatively syn free at home.

Soy sauce and Chinese 5 spice or Thai 7 spice. they are both brilliant and free! I usually chuck in a little bit of chopped chilli, garlic and some fresh coriander too then use the noodle water to thin it out a bit. the starch from the noodles helps it to be a bit more like "sauce" without having at add any cornflour. works with pasta water too in pasta sauces.

My weigh in tomorrow and I do not have high hopes. Although I have hugely upped my fruit, veg and protein levels I have struggled to give up sweeties even with my syns so I will need to toughen up this week.

Today I have been really bloated as well so I am prepared to have lost nothing although I hope to at least have stayed the same.
