Has anyone tried setting up three 1p direct debits to one charity and was it successful? Obviously one date from three different Halifax Reward accounts.

Should you decide to cancel a year or two down the line one email would then suffice to cancel all three.

I very much hope nobody did, seeing that each DD transaction costs the recipient something like 50p to £1.

It's one thing to help a bank to share out a bit of their profits.

It's an entirely different thing to rob a charity.

From first page of this thread, it is mentioned that Santander Saving allow payment by DD.

I wonder whihc saving account is that whihc allow payment by DD. I have looked into Santander eSaver i5 that I am currently having with Santander, all I have got is

"Deposits are allowed at any time via standing order, one-off payments or internet transfer"

So there is not any DD mentioned on this account. Could someone or the OP please share his knowledge about the saving account by Santander whihc allow deposti by DD.

    Thank you for your time.

Santander Branches can issue - its staff probably unaware of its existence :rotfl::rotfl: "Savings Direct Debit Form" which gives the option of Direct Debits to the following accounts - E-Saver, Cash Isa and after being told in January by all branch staff that no other Santander accounts accept direct debits - low and behold on the form is a box to tick for Flexible Saver  :rotfl:

Brilliant spot, thanks - have updated the first post with this. According to this document you can request a Direct Debit form by calling 0845 609 0014.
  • I'm currently trawling through the thread, But if someone can save me some time ......

Which are the two easiest/most popular savings a/c's that satisfy the new Halifax reward conditions that allow MULTIPLE dd's ( We each have three Reward accounts)

If I'm right its probably Santander ESaver (I already have issue 5, OH and son will need to open issue 9 ....) and Tesco. Is the Tesco account just the 'Internet Saver;?

Grateful if anyone can save me some time!

    Yes I have ....

My question was around which were the 'favourite' accounts to set up ..... ease of setting up etc.

And also whether the Teco account was the 'internet Saver' .... first post of thread just says 'Tesco Bank'

    Thanks for any replies.......

Internet Saver, Instant Access, they are the same WRT DDs, only the interest changes.
  • I've just been looking at the santander website to see if I can find out more about the direct debit option on the e-saver account but I can't see it anywhere.

Can anyone point me to this info please.

    Thanks
