How do I pay money into my Easy Access, Notice Cash ISA or Notice account?

    By Direct Debit

The easiest and safest way to pay money into your account is to set up a Direct Debit as part of your online application - then sit back as we do the rest for you. Providing you give us details of your nominated account and we can identify you, you will be given this option.

If you have already opened your account, you can still set up your Direct Debit by accessing the relevant form via our website. Simply log onto your account . Remember you will need your user ID, Password and Memorable Details. Once you're logged into your account, click on the "Amend Details" section, followed by the "Personal Details" section. You then need to click on the "Nominated Account" section and from there you will be able to print off the Direct Debit form.

All you need to do is complete the form, sign it and return it to us at the following address:
    Freepost RSAZ-AXXH-LHAX, Aldermore, PO Box762, Wallsend NE28 5DH

If you opened your account via our postal channel you will also find a Direct Debit form in your enquiry pack. All you need to do is complete the form, sign it and return it to us at the above freepost address.

Alternatively, you can call us on 0845 604 2678 and we will be happy to send a Direct Debit form to you.

    Thanks for your prompt reply.
Reading the blurb tends to suggest that any replacement direct debit simply replaces the nominated account. Are additional DDs allowed leaving the original nominated account still active?
    Thanks

I planned to set up some more DDs from my Tesco Bank account today. Three were accepted, the fourth was not and the website informed me that the bank would be writing to me, so I'm hoping they do not close my account.

Same sort of thing happened to me a while back. Tesco rang me, their suspicions aroused by the number of new direct debits. I explained what I was doing and they seemed happy with that. No DDs were cancelled, no accounts were closed.

Oh, thanks for that. Will have to wait for their letter to see what they say to me. (Though did you set up a number of £1 DDs?)

Yes. I think it was the third that triggered the enquiry. Since then I've added another (for Halifax). FWIW they're all for £1 and all used monthly.

Click on the DD link in the original post, print it, fill it in, send it off with the stuff they want, and they'll set up the DD for you.

    Did for me, yes.

I was told by Lloyds CS today that one monthly payment needs to happen from each DD. Any amount you like - no minimum required.

FYI, in my case I could confirm that this is not true. I have one DD in my vantage a/c which only pay once in a year. I still get 4% on my vantage.

In another vantage I have one Credit Card that I hardly use. I still get 4%.

Unlike future Halifax Reward A/C, as far as I know, there is not any in vantage T&C mentioning about minimum one payment a month need to come out. So if they apply this they could easily be defeated.
  • Lloyds CS are making things up again. You only needed the direct debit setup. I have account with two direct debits, which have never been used and I get 4% every month.

In fact the conditions only required the direct debit be setup by a certain date, you can probably delete the direct debits and still get 4% but I've not risked that yet.

To be fair to Lloyds, my post in which I reported this is from last September. Lots has changed since then, Lloyds staff will no doubt know better by now- - - and you are absolutely right, it was just something they had made up when they told me.
