Savings accounts deposits by Direct Debit?

I've just realised that if I do a search on my lloyds account on internet banking and set the search dates very narrow, when printed it has the heading 'classic vantage statement' and shows just the last transaction, which in my case is an interest payment and balance. So if I send that to Santander it gives them only minimal info.
Just blank out (e.g. with a thick black marker pen) any transactions on the statement. As long as your sort code and account number, and preferably also your name and address, are visible, they should be happy.
Have you told them that you are an online customer and don't get paper statements?0 -
Think the best way is to have 2 Tesco internet saver accounts then set up a direct debit from each of the vantage accounts to the two Tesco accounts.
That covers off 6 DD's in total, all for a pound :-)0 -

Please could you keep on topic, and post anything Vantage related in the Vantage thread?
The thread we are in at the moment is just to list savings accounts that allow Direct Debits. This is not Vantage (or any other offering) specific.0 -
You don't need to send paper forms or cheques but you have to jump through a few hoops to authorize the DDs:
- phone an 0845 number to authorize DDs
- make a payment from the account the DD is to be set up on
I called this number. 02920 382000. It's on their website next to the 0845 number.
Maybe cheaper than the 0845 number.0 -

I was unable to set up any additional DD for my Online Saver Issue 5. I could add additional 'nominated' accounts, but they all defaulted against an "Instant Saver/Easy Saver", for which the minimum opening deposit is £500.0 -

I have set up the first one today and waiting for my online registration now as for some reason Website gave me error while registering online and hence could not finish the registration.
I have seen pas post in this thread where someone have managed to set up DD on the same account using linked account facility.0 -
Post Office Online Saver is now closed...
"Due to popular demand Online Saver is no longer available to new applications. We’ll be launching a new issue of Online Saver shortly so please come back soon."

They probably expect people to invest £1000s in the account so closed it to new applicants.
They will get exactly £1 pm from me for one year unless Lloyds decide to extend the 4% offer.0 -

Thanks - just set this up online and will feed a DD of £1.00 per month from Classic Vantage. I'll need to look for another saver for the second DD unless I move one of the ones from my 'usual' current account instead.0
