The form you need is here (confirmed this morning by Santander customer service) link. The references to ISAs etc. are confusing, but the chap I spoke to seemed reasonably confident that it was the right thing.0

Brilliant piece of intelligence gathering, thank you so much, edinburgher! Have updated the original post with the new link.0 -
\Thinking of setting up 2nd 123 account and struggling with 2 dd. Could I transfer the dd over from my first account which has 5 and how do I go about this. Sorry if this is a silly question! Really don't want another tesco savings account so many at moment(lol) with all these current acs.0

You can "move over" DDs - - you just tell the company that takes the DDs what account number and sort code they should be taking the money from.0

Well so far its not worked for me. Downloaded and filled in the mandate form 10th october , so far heard nothing, not a dickie bird which is 15 days now. So just about got to th point where something should have happened, to a certain extent i wouldn't mind if santander got back to me and said no, at last i would know where i stood. I will give them to th 1st of nov and if they haven't done anything by then , it will be time to bend a ear or two. I too would be interested to hear anybody elses experience, regarding dd's into esaver accounts.0 -
I don't believe Santander send out any confirmation of the DD - I am not aware that any bank does send such confirmations.
The only thing you ever get when setting up a DD is perhaps a confirmation from the payee. The payee is in this case yourself.
You can check in your online banking whether the DD against your esaver has been set up. Go to "Payments and Transfers", and from there to "Pull money in from external source". Make sure you selected your esaver. If you can see your xyz current account as a source, everything has been set up according to your instruction.
Your receiving current account will also show a corresponding DD.0 -
