I know but that's part of the problem sansch! If I stay here ill die an old maid! But getting off is proving difficult as the London market is !!!!!!ed. In a way it's good as don't want to go until end of year anyway as want to save money but in others it's disheartening to think I've got loads of experience and yet can't find a job! And as for the guy situation - well, why did I even have to meet him?! I should have just walked away right at the start but no, heart on the line again!!!I want to be a writer0

Phew scorchio !! Sorry folks its too hot for me
Got some chores and washing done early yesterday, and sat in the garden until the sun came round .... then had to retreat indoors. Have had to increase meds and so had an afternoon nap
but felt better from 6pm it was cool enough to do some gardening. Have [STRIKE]massacred[/STRIKE] chopped back some of the overgrowth and bagged it up to take to the tip...
not so nice is all the cat crap I have to pick up before I can sit out in the garden... am so fed up I have now bought a "scarecrow" which attaches to the garden hose and has a sensor that shoots water at the little [STRIKE]bug[/STRIKE] blighters ! So zero balance didn't last long on credit card
...but I will pay it off next month. But will be worth it if I don't have to clear away half a dozen deposits from the lawn before I can sit out in my own garden!
WW - are you off enjoying yourself with the "fling" ? Come on do tell.... bring some excitement into my life :rotfl:0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Hello all ! Still alive!!
I think we can safely say its more than a fling now:rotfl: Over 2 months and seeing him virtually every day and....wait for it..... have a holiday to Greece together booked for next week:eek::eek:
It was a bit of a spur of the moment thing on Saturday but I'm very excited now. He treats me really well, makes me feel special and is FIT so whats not to be happy about
He's also now officially left my school to be a deputy head elsewhere so there's no need to be so secretive anymore. The cat is out of the bag a bit anyway - last Friday's end of term booze up and his leaving do combined put pay to the discretion on his part, lets just say he's proud of me and wants to tell people, and might have chosen the worst person in the world to confide in - the power of alcohol! Oh well, they have 6 weeks to get over the shock.:rotfl:
Looking forward to a day in the garden - I have two dogs this week (mum and dad went on hols yesterday and left their woofer with me for a week) so there's lots of dog walking going on (when its cool enough) and I'll hopefully go swimming tomorrow.
I need to sort out the holiday wardrobe this week too and pop to the shops for a few bits - not going to buy much though, I have quite a few things already but its always nice to have one or two new things for going away.
Will do a nice long post this evening with all of the news - hope everyone is enjoying the weather - I LOVE IT!!0 -
WW that's great news, do we call him the OH now rather than "the fling" ? :rotfl:
Hope you enjoy your holiday together - you sound really happy and I am so pleased for you, you deserve it !!
Sanch - how are you ?? Been out biking recently?
lulabelle - hope you have sorted the job/man situation
Well I've now moved office and I am LOVIN' it
Much more relaxed atmosphere and not had as much neck pain this week. Have been thrown in the deep end a bit after only 1 days training but manager says he is happy with my work already! Team are really nice and have been very welcoming and helpful. Feeling so much happier.
I work term time too and break up on Friday, but I am only taking 3 weeks out of the 6 this summer. DS is 18 now and working so he doesn't need me in the holidays any more. Will save those few weeks and take them when kids are at school. Am hoping to get away somewhere for a week with a friend, probably later in the year. My sis & nephew (age 7) are coming to stay in 2 weeks time so looking forward to that.
Carpal tunnel test at hospital whilst I'm off, so will see how that goes....
Went to see a band on Saturday with the girls and even managed a few [STRIKE]hobbles[/STRIKE] dances
Have been wine and dining with friends... couple of lunches and evening deals on round here. Am out with another friend on Friday so will celebrate my "new" job and start of holidays !
Have a great summer, looking forward to hearing all about it x0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Hi Skint - it looks like things are looking up for you! The job, the social life and possible holidays, great news! :j:j
With regards to the Fling - I think he'll always be the Fling...OH sounds too scarily official. We'll just plod on as we are and see what happens.:)
My mum and dad are back from their hols today - have to pick them up from the airport at lunchtime. They're staying tonight and then travelling home tomorrow and taking my dog with them whilst I go on holiday.
A week of the holidays has passed already! Haven't really done much...a few jobs around the house, seen the Fling a lot, looked after 2 dogs and generally faffed about. Will spend this morning tidying round a bit, popping to Tesco and then entertain my parents for the rest of the day.
Bought a couple of dresses yesterday - very feminine sexy evening numbers .... get me, the temptress! I don't know what's happened to me! Life certainly has begun at 41!0 -
Hi Everyone!!!! Hope you are all okay, especially WW and Skint. Ive been really busy lately, socialising, cycling, working etc etc.
If you are all still around then please give me an update on everything ... sorry I havent been on lately but as the nights are drawing in now we will all have more time ... hopefully
Talk soon and hope you are all getting (or have got) a grip ... Im still trying

Hiya Sanch good to hear you're busy with social life and fun things !
WW.... hope you're still having a fab time and all is going well with the fling !
I had 3 weeks off work and they flew past. The first week I did lots of appointments including hospital apt for carpal tunnel test ...which was negative btw and so means all the pain and problems with my arms/hands is referred pain from my spine/nerve problems so at least now we know and can target treatment accordingly. I met up with a few friends for lunches and went swimming every morning to try and strengthen my back... as per Physio orders!
The second week my sister came down with nephew (7yo). We had a fab time out doing touristy things and weather was lovely. Walked for miles and saved over £60 using vouchers for attractions etc. Had forgotten how much a 7yo can tire you out.... played football, cricket, table tennis.... (well I hobbled whilst sister and Nephew did all running
)
The third week I was back to swimming every day and managed to get up to 30 lengths, and I started a mammoth clear out at home. Last lot of stuff was collected yesterday in one of those charity bags outside which saved me struggling to get it to the charity shop.
Back at work now which is still going well, and this is the first time in years that I have gone back after summer break and not dreaded it ! Plus I chose to only have 3 weeks off this year instead of 6 so I have some leave left
I am going to continue swimming on Mondays (my day off) and have a few social events lined up (cheap lunches and girls nights in with cheapo bottle wine as all finance will allow

Hey Skint
You sound like you are finally getting a grip lol !
Good news about the chimneys too I make that this Saturday .... at least when the job is done it will be over and done with. I know I need some work doing on the trees in my garden and the thoughts of even trying to find someone to do it just fill me with horror.
I've been so busy lately with the cycling and also finally joined the poshish leisure club I was on about. Had a few social things on too however I can report that I haven't come across Mr Right yet tho, a few Mr wrongs tho lol. Hope WW is still having fun with her Mr Right ... no news is good news I reckon they have eloped to Gretna and after all her talk about no marriage again she is too embarrassed to admit the truth to us :-)
Bye 4 now
