I checked out your thread re the scaffolding. Didnt know you were a bloke hee hee ...

:rotfl:Yeah I found that quite funny too.... must be my manly demeanour - either that or my stubble and deep voice :rotfl:

Sun is out but its blowing a gale here today. Washings out on the line so hoping it doesn't blow down the road as I don't fancy having to retrieve it from the neighbours ;) Didn't put my knickers out just in case :D

    Plans for today -
    trip to bottle bank
    wash kitchen floor
get rid of all polystyrene in bedroom from new wardrobe I bought/built for DS to put his work trousers/shirts in
    hoover upstairs and down
friend round this evening - possible glass of wine (or 2)

Sanch.... new bike sounds great, hope the weather stays good for you !

WW.... busy with the fling ? Are you spending more now with the improved social life or do you tend to stay in more ;) Must cost more with all the beautifying, new knickers and keeping the wardrobe up to date ;) Are you still managing to keep a grip on the budget?

    Hello all! Still here!
Just been really busy with The Fling and work etc. Saw him again today (its almost every day these days, sometimes for an hour others for most of the evening/day). We had a very pleasing day watching the rugby (well most of it;)!), having lunch and generally just chilling out together.

I must admit that its knackering being fabulous all of the time though - waxing, plucking, shaving (I sound like a chimp!), making an effort with appearance even when staying in....
Its worth it though - seems to have the desired effect .....:rotfl:Apparently I'm "magnificent", "beautiful" and "amazing"! Me!
Wait until I actually breathe out and don't put any make up on!!:eek::eek:

I have been keeping up with the swimming though so I suppose that's helping and I've lost another 1lb this week somehow.

I have been a bit lax on the money front lately - no shopping lists, not a lot of account balance checking and a bit of wanton spending :o Just had more exciting things on my mind but need to get a grip again.
In fact a summer dress has just arrived from Next (forgot I'd ordered it) - will try it on later and be strict and take it back if I don't love it. I have a few other bits and pieces to take back to various shops whilst I'm at it - don't want to keep things just because I'm too lazy to return them (I used to do this a lot).

No big plans for tonight (Fling is seeing his 17 yr old son) and need to economise a bit anyway so will have a nice bath, walk the dog for the umpteenth time today and watch a bit of telly.

    Hope everyone is well?

Thank you Lulabelle and Fairy! Yes, it is an exciting time!

Ended up going to a friend's house last night armed with 2 bottles of wine both of which got drunk and getting a taxi home around midnight. Had a good time putting the world to rights! Was a bit delicate this morning but the almost hour long walk in the drizzle to pick up the car has sorted that out now thankfully.

The weather is horrible - cold wet and windy - so there won't be a lot of outside activity today. I'm going to finally finish the spare room and get some jobs around the house done. Will have to brave the elements with the dog again later but hopefully it may have cleared up a bit by then.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Well ladies - I am on strike today. You may have seen in the news about the teaching strike in the North West. My school is shut to pupils and most staff are on strike. I'm not going on a rally or march or anything like that but I am losing a day's pay. I agree with what the union is saying but don't think they are going about it in the right way - but having been brought up in the Welsh valleys in the 70s/80s (miners strike etc) I can't go to work on principle.

So today will revolve around not doing any school work, going dog walking, swimming and cleaning the house. The Fling will be popping round after work (he's in a different union) so that's something to look forward to.

Its the school prom tomorrow evening and its a proper dress up event for the staff too (actually quite a good night out!). I have my new fabulous long strapless evening dress to wear and those new sexy killer heels so am all kitted out. I'm having my hair blow dried in the afternoon to make me feel "finished". Nobody (apart from my gay best friend) knows about me and The Fling at work and he's the organiser of the prom so I want to look as good as possible to get some secret appreciative looks ;) Daft isn't it!

Right, better get the dog walked and think about swimming. Hope everyone has a good day.

    Morning all !

WOW what a scorcher of a day yesterday... was so busy but got loads done....
    1. living room mirror cleaned - its about 1 1/2 metres tall over the cast iron fireplace.... so takes some effort!
    2. online banking done.. now on new lower budget :(
    3. 5 loads... YES 5 loads... of washing done and dried. Started at 9am and last load out at 4pm
    4. went with friend for a wander to local church fete and then sat round the local pond in the sun watching the baby ducks... aww cute!
    5. cleaned bedroom ready for parents coming to stay later this week
    6. went out for dinner with another friend. We went to local inn by the sea and there was a lovely cooling sea breeze. Nice food, only 2 for £10 but friend paid as a pressie for my birfday later this week

More washing today.... just my bedding and towels, and grass to cut... its like a meadow at the moment as it hasn't been done for about 3 weeks.... then hoping to get out and about this afternoon if its not too hot...

WW ...... how did the prom go ? Was the fling suitably "knocked out" by you... I hope so x I bet you looked fabulous !!

Sanch ..... saddle sore after the bike ride? ;) How's the new bike ??

    Hiya All

Bit quiet on here these days, how is everyone doing? Skint, are you getting a grip? :)

Ive had a busy weekend so far - in a manner of speaking! Deciided I cant drink more than two drinks anymore without feeling lousy the next day. Went out with a friend on Friday evening and felt rotten all day yesterday. Then went to a party last night with another friend and feel even worse this morning. Going to have to get a grip and do some housework today whether I feel ill or not! Getting up later also doesnt agree with me. Must change my ways and quick :(

Bye for now all you Grippers out there x
