I'm here!
Sorry you're feeling a bit worse for wear Sanch - I was the same yesterday.:o
Skint - you've been very busy! Hope you time to have a rest?
The prom on Friday was really good and I felt lovely in my new dress and shoes - got loads of compliments too!:j The Fling was very appreciative too
Had a bit of a lazy day yesterday, watched the rugby, did a load of housework and saw Fling. Just watched telly and flopped around the house in the evening though but did have 7 hours of uninterrupted sleep last night so woke up full of beans.
Took the dog for a 5k run around the water park this morning - haven't been running for ages but was just in the mood and quite enjoyed it. Then came home and sorted the back garden, tidied and mowed, hoping for the sun to come out so I can top up the tan later.
Just about to dye my hair (again!) to sort out my roots and tidy my eyebrows up and do a face scrub so I look a bit human again.
Plenty of gripping going on here!0 -
Hi All
Still waiting for the sun to shine here, so depressing no wonder they say Lancs is the wettest county in England (or is it Cumbria???).
Just been out on the new bike for a spin it is much faster than my old one and whizzes along like a little rocket. then spoilt the exercise by going into the Co op and buying some bottles of beer and ice creams ha ha
Glad you enjoyed your run WW although you sound as if you are getting enough exercise at present - dont wear yourself out hee hee - Sounds like more than a passing fling to me .... any updates for us??
Any news on the scaffolding Skint?0 -
Evening all. busy few days. DS took me out to dinner last night and he PAID !! .. now hes had his first paycheck he's rich :rotfl:
I've been to see my new boss today and now have a moving date of 22 July so looking forward to that !
Its my birthday today so lots of chat with friends and relatives & been out for dinner tonight with friends which was really nice. Only toby carvery but had a good laugh and managed a lap of the seafront after to try and walk it off !
Sanch - spoke to builder (£600 no scaffolding) & he recommended someone else who quoted with scaffolding £1368  Still its less than neighbours quote of £1600 ! Am beginning to think I will not bother having them taken down and will just have the render patched up again
Will try and get more quotes....
DS bought me the biggest box of maltesers I've ever seen and I've been munching them since I got back in .... naughty but nice

Hey grippers
I really need to get a grip! Trying to find a job in London as have had enough of island life but it's not proving to be very easy and the bloke I've been seeing has gone radio silent!!!!!!
Not a good time hence need to get a bloody grip!I want to be a writer0 -
lulabelle good luck with the job hunting... its not easy is it
Sanch... had a competition with DS who could fit most maltesers in mouth at once. Needless to say I won ! !
have now troughed the lot
WW all quiet ... Must be off enjoying yourself !?!
Have had a lovely weekend with DP's staying. Have let mum do all the cooking
and ironing ....well she likes to help out
We went to watch DS on Saturday at the field gun family day ... it was scorching but I had my factor 30 on !! Managed to get a seat in the shade for a few hours so not too bad and didn't burn
Am sat in the garden at the mo, have been shopping and have got washing machine on, sheets from mum & dads bed on line already. Washing machine seems v smelly so I found a bottle of cleaner at the back of the cupboard and that is washing through at the moment. I think it was from Ald! so will see if that works.
Online banking done and budget is a bit tight for rest of month so I am going to have to be really strict with myself. Managed to (almost) stick to £40 budget today = £41.25. Just need to get cereal at asda for DS and have got a few £1 in my purse and a voucher for £1.35 to use. Havent had any cash out of bank for nearly a week now, but got some birthday money so will treat myself to something new with rest of that
No luck with the roof at the moment Sanch. Despite me getting a cheaper quote with company who attached a copy of their insurance the next door neighbours still didn't seem happy. I have phoned another company off check-a trade and they are coming tomorrow. Am fed up with it all to be honest
Anyway, sorry for going on a bit. Am enjoying the sun so sorry if you are all at work

Hi all
No Skint I am not at work as Monday is my day off so have taken the bike for a spin then sat in the garden for a couple of hours but it was so hot it made me feel sick! We are just not used to it are we.
I know what you mean about being fed up of the hassle with builders etc. There are few things more demoralising in my view than having jobs done on your house. Hope it gets sorted for you soon.
Lulabelle, for goodness sake girl get a grip! If you are on an island it should be easy ... less distractions!!!!
Take care everyone and keep on gripping x0
