Orange collections rang me yesterday and urged me to ring disconnections (on a freephone number !!) I was then offered a buy out deal where if I payed £240 they would cancel the remaining 7 months of the contract (according to them I currently owe some £200). Needless to say I refused their kind offer !! Looks like they will now sell the debt on to a collection agency.0

I downgraded my tariff to £35 last month but have still been charged for December and January a total of £120. The service from Orange is a joke, I sent a big letter of complaint saying I wanted my contract changing and mentioned the Fusion fiasco and still haven't heard anything back. I also incurred at least £63 in bank charges as a result of Orange's incompetence, and after a month in which they never called me once they then turned round and said they wouldn't refund the money. I went to my local CAB about Fusion, Orange and the Halifax but they didn't tell me anything I didn't already know and in fact referred to this website for their research before advising me.
Given that Fusion phoned me last February, I think my contract is up with Orange this September and I will be definitely cancelling it.
If you read my earlier post from Christmas time you will see the problems I had with all three companies intertwined. Everything had a knock-on effect and so the CAB has told me to approach the three seperately.
Therefore, I've written to Halifax about the charges, but of course will have to wait until the test case is decided. I've written to Orange numerous times but their customer service is crap, all I would advise anyone to do is what you've done Bra1n, or to lower the tariff and get out of the contract at the end of it and go with a decent mobile phone company because that lot wouldn't know customer service if it bit them on the backside. In your case though Bra1n I would be careful that what Orange have done doesn't affect your credit in the future, that's the only worry i'd have.
As for Fusion, well it has already been noted earlier in the threads that you're better off going through Narran LTD (I'm sure they used to have their name on the redemption cheques). Companies House and the insolvency website don't even recognise Fusion, not the one based in Oldham anyway, but as Kat mentioned Narran was the parent company.
I was advised by Companies House, also as Kat touched upon, that I should write to them and request that Narran are given a stay of execution, if you will, so as we can rightfully get back the Fusion money that is ours. In my case, it is £404. I've just received the following from Companies House:
Dear Sir
In response to your email of 06/02/08 i can confirm that we will
suspend the strike off of this company for a period of six months
Yours Faithfully

As Orange have pretty much distanced themselves from this, anybody dealing with this has to deal with the Orange contract and Fusion Contracts seperately, despite our knowledge that they are both linked. (Backed up by the fact Fusion said in their contract they would levy a charge of £500 to our credit cards if we didn't pay Orange bills).
Therefore with Orange you can only really do what Bra1n did or simply try to change the terms of the contract, and as for Narran/Fusion I would approach the small claims court or money claim online I think it is because Companies House have given us 6 months to do so going on what the e-mail says.
Things might change, we could get something back, City beat United 2-1 yesterday and as I have waited 24 years for that to happen then we can only assume that if we put up a fight we can eventually get some success. :T0 -

Sorry, 34 years lol. Anyway, nothing new on the bank charges but I have just started a new job and will be putting a claim in against Narran when I get paid.
Orange have offered me a free month's line rental. Not particularly brilliant when I first wrote to them over 3 months ago but here we are. That takes my current bill from £58 down to £23 so I will take that and I still intend to cancel in August when my contract is up. Can't wait to see what deal they offer when I tell them I am leaving....0 -
Yes, we got scammed by Fusion..that makes my blood boil  ...I wish there is someway to get my money back..maybe a trip up North will do the job!
The only deal i got from Orange was to lower my tariffs from £40 to £25. Firstly Orange have rubbish service and I will not ever have anything to do with them in the future, secondly they are partly responsible for the problem we are now in and do not accept any of it. I have 3 phone contracts with Fusion, because initially the deals were good, but i cannot afford the monthly costs as the actual phone deals are rubbish..pay as you go deals are better than Orange contracts. When my contracts are up in November, I will finish with Orange.
I do not wish Orange a bright future. But their TV adverts are good!

And so it goes on. I persevered with the calls to customer services and eventually I got dealt with by some guy who seemed to be able to sort out some price reductions on the spot, and even the ones that had been added to billing costs since the first little reduction I'd been given> !!!!!!!!. Well I almost felt as though it had been worth all the hassle< !!!!!!!!!! . Added to which all the phone use made my right ear very sore, so I'm not so keen on using phones so much any more, at least without the dangly earpiece I've now needed to buy. And now, is it not wonderful that I've been sent a nice text, yes and yes. my phone has been upgraded to send photo messages !!!!!!!! bbbbbbbbut it doesn't have a xxxxxx camera. ! Think ..... i'd better stop here and go sort out our current problem. A sweettalking dude on Xbox live who wheedled that little vital piece of information out of my little daughter and then stole my identity and spent more of the money i have yet to borrow, yes yes yes again , has given me the opportunity to engage with more customer service personnel. !!!!!!! So let's all have a nice day , cheerfully contribute to more communications company revenue, and console ourselves with the thought that it feels nicer to be a bit gullible than it does to be a career criminal. Surely, yes surely , please.0

Hi all,
I too am a victim of fusion telecoms. I was offered a mobile phone on the orange network from them in March last year and being only £4 a month (after cashback) i took up the offer straightaway. the first couple of cheques came through although like others on this site i too was asked to send proof of id on two different occasions. When the third cheque was due I was contacted by fusion and offered a second phone that was totally free which i didn't really want but the caller got really pushy so took the phone intending to return it right after receiving it. Could not get answer when trying to obtain returns number a few days later, left a couple of messages on an answer machine which they never responded to - They're custormer service was totally crap. Discovered fusion had gone bust when i attempted to claim the next cashback cheques.
I contacted orange and first spoke to a foreign chap who didn't seem to be able to understand me although he put me through to an english chap who told me there was no way that i would be able to get out of either contract earlier and that i would have to see both out to the end:mad: Incidently the chap acually question the financial stability of fusion saying he couldn't see where fusion got the money for our cashback cheques.
The first contract ran out this month, I have now cancelled it and the second contract runs out in march next year which i will also cancel when the time comes.
Didn't get much help from the cab and still waiting to hear back from consumer direct. now have virgin mobile for £10 per month, this is a discount not cashback contract due to me being a virgin media custormer. This all reminds me of the saying: if it's to good to be true then it porbably is!!0 -
Did anyone manage to successfully sue Narran Ltd ? I considered using money claim online but chose not to, I had my contracts reduced and felt that might go against me ( by reducing my contracts i might have been seen as not having kept to my side of the deal.).
I'm aware that Narran Ltd has been struck off now, just wondering if anyone made successful claims.0
