We got 2 phones three months ago from fusion telecoms and because they're no longer in business; can you get out the contract on orange?

Hi Nancy, I work for a company who can end your orange contract immediatley.Do you still need to get out of it?

And the name of this company is ?
    And what's the catch ?
  • I signed up by Fusion to Orange back at the end of February. It's the usual 18-month-contract and costs £40 per month for something in the region of 600 minutes and 400 texts. I received the first two redemption cheques, even though they took a while, but having sent the latest one by special delivery it seems the addressee has 'gone away', or gone bankrupt having read more about them here.

Glad to see i'm not the only one, but it's absolutely disgusting how this could happen. All I can think to do is e-mail the national and local press, watchdog, trading standards and ofcom and my local MP, which I am going to do after posting this.

Additionally, I had a direct debit set up with Orange and they took last month's money despite the fact I had paid on my credit card. I have done this before and the money hasn't been taken, although I should've cancelled the debit to stop them taking money twice. They did take the money twice and there wasn't enough in my bank account to pay it, hence I was charged in the region of a further £95 by the Halifax. Despite having won bank charges back before thanks to this site, I accepted that charge even though it was out of proportion completely because it was my responsibility to cancel the direct debit after making the first payment.

Hence, my Orange bill for this month showed £0.86, as it had been paid twice in November. What do Orange do? Take £56 by direct debit, take my account over the overdraft limit AGAIN and I am now going to be charged £35 on CHRISTMAS DAY and £28 on New Year's Eve. Orange have refunded the £56 (into the wrong bank account, so I have to transfer the money from the credit card account into the current account, incurring a £3 charge) and agreed to pay my latest bank charges when I fax them proof of them to Orange.

The whole situation is a complete disgrace and is wrecking people's lives. The warning signs were there, I suppose; Fusion wouldn't answer calls half the time, pestered to sign up with them, asked me for ID twice, about 2 f*cking months after I sent them the original ID.

Orange have lowered my tariff to £35, and they say I can lower the price again next month. Fair enough, I suppose, but I cannot comprehend the spite of the Halifax along with the incompetency of Orange and not to mention, Fusion, in this matter. What a disgrace. Merry Christmas guys.
  • I signed to fusion in setember but they put me on a 3 contract. 3 are even worse then orange giving a cashback offer of £150 as long as you stay for another 6 months so if your on 40 a month u still have to pay for the 18 month contract plus 2 and half extra. What a disgrace. Trading standards and Ofcom have said they can't do anything. Anyone else got any idea's.

What the latest on this scam? Anyone have any luck? Trading standards are a waste of time. Orange wont answer may mail, sent them a letter nearly two months ago. They've cut off my phone now but they reckon I'm still being charged. It's £80 which I don't have. Could have downgraded to £50 but I don't have that either and that would have been a leggit contract, where as this is a scam. So I'm holding out.
  • Any more news on the fusion scam i have also been stung what happens if you just cancel your direct debit with orange? any help greatly appriciated

I've finally been cut off after cancelling my direct debit months ago. I was still paying the costs for my original phone with Orange but not the W810i I got with the cashback deal but they've cut off both phones. Now waiting for a PAYG Sim from O2 then I'll unlock my W810i and use it on O2. I look forward to my day in court should that occur.
  • Well well ! Me too got scammed. Agree too Orange must bear some responsibility. This will cost me or should I say my kids ABOUT A GRAND. ..... THAT,S A LOT OF FOOD. I COULD HAPPILY " REMOVE THE LEGS " OF mr. rahat aslam. !!!! What will happen if I don't pay Orange ? Anyone know where this man lives? I wish someone could explain why we deserved to be abused like this .
  • Fusion Telecome contacted and offered me 2x mobiles with 800 min any time any network and 150 min orange - orange for 9 pounds a month.....Sounds vert cost effective. At the moment I need to pay full amount of £80 every month.
I stroungly doubts Orange and Fusion Telecoms should have underground deals. Orange should given the permission to use their name and to get customers for them.
I would like to get advise from any one what i can do next to stop this sort of crime happening to any one? Shall we all join togather and make a complain or writing letter to higher authorities? please lets work togather....it will make some difference.
