Fusion Telecoms
Hi,
I was just wondering if anyone had heard for fusion telecoms I have had them call me up with a orange phone deal.
The deal is a standard send you bill back and we'll send you a check. The actual deal is as follows:
A new phone (for a k800i)
850 mins x-network
150 min orange-orange off peak
1 magic number
200 texts (I think could be 300?)
This is £40 pounds an month and they send you a check of £101 every 3 months (18mth contract), i effect costing me £4 pounds a month.
If anyone has any info on these guys i would love to hear it.
Thanks
satpal

I have been offered the same deal this year by fhttp://www.fusion-telecoms.co.uk
Very cautious when i heard about the cheque back offer to good to be true and let the agent tell me more about the deal.Although checking what he said to the actual terms & conditions differ this is after a few phone calls from him.He stated that i could send in photocopies of the invoice but under the discount claims section it states "Copies are NOT acceptable. It is your responsibility to make sure we receive them within the relevant time limits"
Also on the fact you still have to pay the bills up front before you recieve the money back or to claim. The terms and conditions also further state "All our offers on cash back and half price line rental entitlements are also conditional upon you paying your phone bill on time and by the date specified on the bill. If you make any payment which is late then you will loose your entitlement to the cash back and half price line rental."If you miss a payment you void the cheque back offer.Overall i was`nt happy about the offer and it would only take them to say you missed one of the bills within the relevant time limit to void it and be left with a £40 monthly bill with x amount months left before you can cancel.

I took up the fusion telecoms deal purely on the fact that I knew these offers were out there and I had friends that paid very little for an excellent contract in this way.
The problems I have had however is simply not worth it. The service from them is poor, you rarely catch an operator straight away, you get put through to an answer phone that they never reply to and most recently the answer phone said they have too many calls on the machine to leave my message! That says it all really.
I did receive my first cheque but the second is long overdue. Despite the postal strike it should now be here. My advice, don't take the deal!
If you can advise me how to get out of this predicament I would be grateful!0 -
Hiya,
I am having problems too I took out contract in March for 18 months, thought it was too good to be true at first but took it anyway. Got my first & second redemption cheques but now having bother getting my 3rd which i applied for on 28thAug. Spoke to them several times and was told cheque would be coming but still not got it. Now when i try to contact them there phone doesnt even ring i even spoke to Orange but they cant seem to help me. Anyone any ideas please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0 -
We got 2 phones three months ago from fusion telecoms and because they're no longer in business; can you get out the contract on orange?0

Spoke to orange today and was eventually told that Fusion have gone bankrupt and all they advised me was to go to CAB.......i asked them what happens now as im just 7 month into an 18 month contract? they informed me that they have taken over account but i would be charged the full £40 per month...i told them i couldnt afford this but was just told to cancel my direct debit at bank or if i waited another 2 months then they could offer me a downgrade in tariff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!im at a loss as what to do0

I started to get suspicious when they rang me on the 17th of September asking for proof of ID (again, I'd already sent it twice) before they'd send my cheque. As I was away on holiday I faxed it to them the following week then rang a few days later to confirm they'd received it, I was told then that the cheques would be posted within 28 days from the 17th of September. I also received a call on my home phone a few weeks ago trying to sell me a 2nd contract which I refused as I was getting !!!!!!!! from the salesman (and how many phones can I use at once anyway). What with the postal strike I only just started investigating today why my cheque had not arrived and that's how I ended up here. There is another business registered at the same address :-
DIAL2CONNECT Ltd.
1st Floor 58-64 George Street
Oldham
Lancashire
OL1 1LS
Companies House Registration Number: 5769416
Registered to Attique Rahman
and the domain fusionmobiles.com is registerd to a Rahat Aslam, again at that address.
I think a publicity campaign is required and Orange should bear some responsibility as they allowed this company to sell their contracts.
I use very few of my free minutes (20 out of 850 free and 7 texts out of 300 free last month) so I've cancelled my direct debit and will revert to my previous orange sim (which only charges me for what I use and averages £6 per month with my low usage)0 -
Fusion-telecoms.co.uk is registered to Mr Atec Rahman0

Looks like me and others caught up in this are in trouble
'In many cases consumers are hundred of pounds out of pocket. Anyone tempted by these offers should read the terms and conditions carefully. It is extremely important that customers who sign up to cash back deals make sure they are able to pay the full cost of calls and line rental without relying on any cash back that might be paid to them. Otherwise they may find themselves unable to pay and subsequently in breach of the contract with the mobile phone airtime provider.'

I've decided I'm not going to take the easy option and agree a reduced tariff with Orange as the cheapest they offered (£25 per month) is still 4 times my normal usage and once I commit to that it's game over. I'm going to stick it out and hopefully get my day in court, I'm thinking along the following lines. :-
Mobile network operators promote or at least condone a business model to 3rd partys where only a percentage of customers (typically 40%) meet the conditions for claiming cash back.
When a higher percentage successfully claim the business model fails, the 3rd party goes out of business and the customer is left tied to an expensive contract with the network operator who can't lose.
It's currently in the news, check BBC2 tonight0
