Big hugs from me Chicky as well, hope OH sorts himself out soon.
And you're right Ailsb I'm stitching in bed but can't concentrate for too long at onceGood luck with Charlie bear attempt no. 3!
Here's where I am
The filling at the bottom of the dress feels like it's taking forever. Ruth_honey I feel you on the metallic thread pain, the light gold isn't nearly as nice to stitch with as the darker one! I might get to half way and do something else like the backstitch on the sleeve so I don't get fed up.Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger No. 26 :hello:XStitch to do list:-- Birth Sampler -- Christmas Angel -- Mum's Xmas Stitch -- Christmas decs 3 & 4 -- Xmas Bird ---- Snowflake Sonata -- Be Jolly -- JE Unicorn -- Start HAED!!! --0 -
sk00bie1 - that looks amazing. Is it for yourself or a gift? Is it from a recent magazine?

Mags_cat - looking at the full pic of what your final stitching will look like and DH came over and said 'oooohhhhhh I like that' -:eek::eek:. It will look fantastic but I don't think I would dare add it to my to do list - I'm not brave enough. Looking forward to seeing your next update.
maria - very belated birthday wishes. :bdaycake: Sounds as though you had a lovely time.
Flat Eric - looking forward to seeing Tigger 'grow'.
Ailsb - still haven't received Cross Stitch Heaven stuff. Apparently their thread order was due in last Monday. I have just emailed them requesting an update.Have a lovely weekend
tricksie - sounds as though you are speeding along with London. Looking forward to seeing a piccy.Good news re your op later in the year. x
Ruth_honey - lovely little xmas decs. Will have a look at zip bags and red/green frames at Ikea next time we visit. The bags are quite handy for small wips - got mine from Home Bargains last time. Pots of Gold sound interesting - might have to take a little lookie - think I had nothing else to do wouldn't you. Oooohhh just come across your post re op - great news and hope everything goes well for you and that it won't be long before you are on your road to recovery. Madiera holographic sounds very intriguing - makes my plain old DMC/Anc very boring
:D
sk00kie - hope you are feeling better today. Lovely update piccy btw. :T
nmm - lovely update. :T
chicky - hugs to you. What can I say?????
Very disappointed that postie didn't bring any stitchy stuff for me today. As well as XStitch Heaven order I am awaiting a chart which may become one of the special date projects and I have ordered some flecky oatmeal aida too. I'm probably just getting a bit impatient.
Probably not much stitching over the weekend as I've got lots of chores to do and christening tomorrow and I've got to catch up with last night's Strictly before tonights and I find that it is one of those programmes I need to 'watch' without stitching.
Happy stitching everyone.

Here's the cover kit from the current Cross Stitcher, I can't find my fabric glue at the moment to complete it so just ordered some more. Going to start blackwork angel now0

JCS1 - Lovely little robin.
Trying to fit in a few stitches whilst having a cuppa but my hands have gone so cold I keep dropping the needle.

Alternate skin tones - here is another link
I've have used some of these conversions though can't find a photo (they were gifts)0 -
Trying to catch up after a particularly manic week at work and this weekend will also be busy
jcs I know it's late but I'm very sorry for your loss and for the devastating news about your friend
brednall thanks for the review of CS Crazy - mine is still in its wrapper
Sorry - can't help with software query - have never used any myself though I have had a picture converted to a chart (years ago and can't recall the company)
Thank you for all kind comments about my stocking - it's a real encouragement to keep going when I'm tired and stressed.
Here is a photo of a piece I collected from the framers recently. It is The Dreamer by Mirabilia and was stitched ages ago. I have run out of space to hang large pictures but I recently gave a piece to my SiL - she has admired it every time she comes to our house so this time I took it off the wall and gave it to her. She wouldn't take it at first and was horrified that I thought she had been hinting for that to happen (I didn't)

This is the piece I gave away

Wonder who thinks I did best or worst out of the swap? DH prefers the new piece
pap Rose is lovely and I'm so pleased to have converted you to evenweave
mrsmp Hope you hear from LK - most designers don't mind you stitching their designs for charity sales especially when the charts are free designs. Understandably what they don't like is people making money from their designs without permission
FE I use the loop method whenever I can as I think it is neater and easier. When finishing off I go back under stitched stitches and if not using the loop method will catch in the ends under the new stitches
MallowBrain I wash all my finished pieces except for very small ones and use the same method as Ailsb detailed. It makes the work look much better and the stitches pop out of the fabric
Well have to make lunch - may be back later
Happy stitching to all and big hugs to all who need them0 -
YAY - hubby went to work today.
