    Evening everyone,

Back safely from Cheltenham (was cursing when Oscar Delta threw it's rider off after jumping the last fence in the lead, I had money on that @ 30-1 ), and then been busy catching up at work.

Got snowed in on Friday, but not done any sewing as it's too cold - no central heating, no double glazing, the joys of country living :p

Hopefully get the sewing bug back again soon, and thanks for reminder - just emailed as not got sub copy if crossstitcher

    Take care in this weather

Somebody who will actually use them might aswell have them

I want to get the 5000 post lol

It was me Maria (although others joined in too!)
    Is the offer still open?
  • Good morning all, does anyone have the Cross Stitch Collection, edition 218? I am looking to try and get hold of the Wolf chart. Happy to pay :D

No problems with me, very kind thank you:)
  • Thanks so much for your quick reply, hoping to utilize some of them in my tatty teddy pictures seems a shame to have them sitting in a box plus saves a fortune buying new!!

Now that you have a conversion chart I would definitely use the Madeira threads where you can. I have used them occasionally and found the quality to be comparable to DMC and Anchor. Many of the charts in the magazines list Madeira colours and Jane Greenoff of the The Cross Stitch Guild now uses Madeira for her designs.

Elle - your HAED (asume it is) is looking great, as others have said it looks like a paintint.

Flateric - I store in number order. Have 3 DMC boxes, 1 anchor and one miscellaneous plus a clear box of Madeira which I've never used, they were free with a subscription my mum did and ininherited them.

BobbisMummy - can't help re Madeira as I say I inherited some from my mum but have never used them.

Its snowed here now since Friday, although roads aren't too bad. I ended up A&E last night with palpitations but they ran an ECG and couldnt find anything wrong. Now needto wait for a 48 hour trace to be carried out. This year has been awful what with one thing and another and wwe're not even a 1/3rd of the way through.

I know others have far worse going on and I apologize for moaning.

Soulie - hope you are feeling ok.

No stitching for me at the moment. Into my knitting, have finished great nephews jumper for Easter, finished (but not sewn up) jumper for me and currently knitting hood on secind jumper for me. Once these are done I will get back to my stitching - I promise.

Off to watch Our Girl Turner (?) now.

Hope you are feeling better and that the year gets better for you.

I know you like Alessandra Adelaide patterns and I have just spent a happy half hour browsing some of her fabulous designs and pinning some of them onto Pinterest. I have been good though and resisted the urge to actually buy any at the moment :D

Knitting seems very appropriate in this weather - I've been working on a quilt which has the dual function of keeping me warm at the same time as I am stitching it.
  • Elle Your project is amazing - thank you for sharing

Eric'sMum I store my threads in numerical order because that makes it easy to find them when I am putting together threads for a chart I want to stitch.

I also have a printed booklet which shows all the DMC threads in colour groups which is useful if I am looking for a similar colour

chicky Love seeing your superhero progress. Am very tempted by some of the other designs on that site but really don't need anything else on my to do list at the moment :D
