    Good Morning Ladies

Off on leave today as I have a hospital visit, so took a days leave instead of all the fuss of trying to get a day off.

So I have finished the first of my hearts for Sandy Hook -it is in my favourite colour - purple. Not to sure of how the purple looks - meant to be 3 different shades of purple - so here is some photos.

Going to take a wee break to the next one and do some of purple work part two - would love to finish it for 31-3-13. Made a wee start during the film last night as I finished purple heart yesterday.

Well better get some lunch before I go to the hospital.

    Keep well everyone

    Hi ladies.

CharlieRabbit. Welcome to the Cafe. That Tiger design is gorgeous (I have a thing for Tigers) I can't really help on keeping motivated because I only ever have one kit on the go at a time and I don't do (what I would class as) large ones.
Though if I got bored of a design to the point I didn't touch it for a while then I would probably do as already suggested, a small cover kit or split the week into a few days on the Tiger and a few days on another kit.
Afternoon tea with Tigers sounds fab! Where do they do that? Hubby surprised me one birthday with a trip to a zoo where I hand fed Tigers, it was amazing! I loved it, have goosebumps just remembering it :D

Julie. Cute keyring! Love the birthday card, very nice.

    Winnie. Nice bookmark, very pretty.

    JCS. Buttercup Farm is great!

Marru. Welcome back! Sounds like you have been very busy. Look forward to seeing progress on the Wolves.

Sweetcarer. SH heart is lovely. Nice start on purple work part2.

As for me. No stitching here this weekend, couldn't stop playing games on my tablet for long enough :D
Also hubby and I used our xmas money to upgrade our mobile phones last week so have been playing about and setting them up too.
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:

I saw it on Virgin Experience days, but if you search afternoon tea with the tigers there are various offers 2for1's etc.

The one I've found in in Hertforshire:

    Afternoon,

Hopefully should get buttercup farm finished this week, just the sky and a small amount of backstitching to go.

I did give in to a catalogue from Readicut/I Love Cross Stitch website, and got this to add to the stash:

    th?id=H.4812855359374565&pid=1.7&w=148&h=153&c=7&rs=1

Hope everyone is keeping well and manages some stitching this weekend.

    x

This is beautiful, I might pick this one up as something different to do whilst I do my tiger.

Help! Has anyone on here ever done a Dimensions kit? I'm totally baffled as to the thread organiser - if you've got spare thread left over from a length you've cut/stitched etc how exactly are you meant to attach it back to the organiser for safe keeping when it's all glued/stuck together?!

I'm doing two Dimension kits at the moment, one has a proper thread sorter, and the newer one has this stupid one where you pull them out, so what I've done is just create holes above where you pull them out, so I can re-attach them easily without having to make my own thread sorter lol

    Hi everyone!
Sorry still no photo yet. Had to wipe my computer and it took three days to get it back up and running arghhhh
Feeling good, just achy arms, legs, jaw and neck, it seems it starts to wear off just as I am due more chemo lol - session number 3 this friday.
Oh yeah and my hair is falling out now, hope it can hold out a little longer until I get my wig :D

Anyways my copy of WOXS arrived a few days ago so here is my review:

Free Gifts - I like them both, Milton is cute and the bookmark is nice too and could come in very handy.

Butterfly and Blooms - I like this. I don't normally like flowers but these are a bit more modern, and I'd like to stitch the butterfly just on it's own too.

Bring out the Bunting - Not for me.

Scooters - They are okay, but I don't know anyone I would stitch them for.

Heart Cushion - I quite like this chart and the fact that it is in one colour is a bonus too.

Subs Xtra - It's not too bad, wouldn't stitch it for myself though and it's better than some of the previous offerings.

Spring Window - I quite like this series and would, one day, like to stitch them all.

Farm Motifs - I like them but nothing there I would stitch, looking forward to next month's design library though.

Birthday Countdown - Not for me.

Birthday Postcards - Love these and I will be stitching the 'music man' one for my Step-Dad's birthday in November.

Garden ABC - I like these and they will come in handy for birthday cards.

Easter Treats - Not for me.

Cupcake of the Month - This one isn't too bad, don't think I would stitch it though. Do we know when this series ends?? It seems to have been going for a year already!

Furry Tales - Still don't like these things.

So all in all a good one this month, just wish they would get rid of Margaret Sherry's notes!

Next Month - Looks like a good one, I like the look of the little footballer, another HAED chart too! Love Somebunny also and the free gift is a good one also, might stitch that for my Mum as she loves tea. Don't like the hummingbirds thing though.

Oh yeah, I've put down the leopard for a while, got fed up of switching colours lol so I am working on a little Eeyore kit that I got with a Pooh's Watercolour book a while ago from eBay for dirt cheap :D Had to unstitch a little section last night all because I missed one stitch from the above line which caused me to be one out with the rest of it  thankfully it was only about 40 hald cross stitches, and I had realised before I did anymore on it!

Did you all see the advert in WOXS for past impressions, for kit/s of the month with 40% off on page 65? That little monkey is really cute! A good price too, but I really can't justify spending any more money on cross stitch at the moment as other things are more important, so I'm just gonna have to hold out until my birthday in July, you never know there might be an even better kit on offer then lol

Oh my and I thought my Tiger was bad enough. Think I was probably a bit too bold taking on such a large project previously I've only done smaller ones from the Popcorn Teddy Range or Fernley the cornish baby dragon.

Thanks for that info. Paradise Wildlife Park was where I done the hand feeding, it was brilliant, I actually felt the Tiger breath on my bare hand and he licked my hand too!

Soulie. Glad you are feeling ok :)

Instructions on Page 1 - hth :) Loads of time to get it finished for Mums 50th and she will appreciate all the hard work you have put into it.

Sweetcarer - square looks great. Hope all goes well at hospital visit.

Soulie - glad to hear that you are not feeling too bad atm. Take care of yourself and good luck for Friday.

Just a flying visit from me - had a quick sarnie and I'm off now to load the boot with stuff for the charity shop.

Will try to pop in later to have a little catch up.
